Any Ladies on Hormone Therapy pre-op?

Did you resume taking them post-op. I have gotten a greenlight from my surgeon but I don't know if I want to start them yet. I'm concerned of slowing down my weight-loss. The night sweats & hot flashes are awful lol

I am on hormone therapy. I had a total hysterectomy 2 months prior to my sleeve surgery due to uterine cancer. I was on bio-identical hormones before my surgery and immediately after. I didn't notice it affecting my weight loss.

Thanks!

Crazy as this sounds prior to surgery post menopause verified by labs, on HRT which I stopped for a few weeks prior and then started again 6 weeks after. This week at 10 weeks post surgery I get a period!

Wow! Not a chance of that here, had hysterectomy but I like the way my skin looks & feels when I'm on the hormones so I have continued them

I am taking HRT now and was told by my surgeon to quit taking them 2 weeks prior to surgery. Hoping the hot flashes and moods will not be too bad. Wondering if I can get back on them right after surgery?

I take Arimidex for breast cancer and am sure it is affecting my weight loss...nothing I can do about it though. Am still losing but slowly... Can't complain about the Arimidex though, as its keeping me cancer free!!!

I was on the patch for years. Hyster at 32, Sleeve at 53. Quit taking hormones 2 weeks prior to sleeve, never looked back. Not going to take them. I feel fine without. No hot flashes, etc.
