  1. 350 seems a bit low I think I was at about 500 can you add lactose free milk to your protein shakes?
  2. I'm sorry he is not being supportive. My husband and I still go out to dinner. I just plain to take home a doggy bag. It is a hard adjustment for couples who use food as bonding and entertainment. Once he sees you can still have fun without over indulging it will improve

  4. It is powdered peanut butter which you add water to. I do some slices in it. Our in powdered form pit it in shakes. It's not bad!
  5. Crazy as this sounds prior to surgery post menopause verified by labs, on HRT which I stopped for a few weeks prior and then started again 6 weeks after. This week at 10 weeks post surgery I get a period!
  6. Thanks for sharing. I'm curious though as it sounds like you are not eating an vegetables, whole grain or fruit is that correct?
  7. The liwuid and puree phase suck no way to sugar coat it. We feel your pain. Just keep your head in the game. Soft foods very well chewed are essentially pureed in mt humble opinion.
  8. I had a French manicure and it was fine.
  9. I track but it is tedious because of the small portion sizes and adjusting MFP for that.
  10. I also did not take prenatals due to nausea. Even with the bariatric vitamins they want me to take 3 a day!#! Plus 1500 mg calcium. I take the iron before I go to bedcso thst helps.
  11. I have not been tested post op yet but have never been one to take vitamins or supplements. I struggle with how many we are asked to take as I don't know why sleevers would need more than daily recommendations for anyone? I track food and vitamins on MFP. Thoughts (p art of me thinks they just want to sell me bariatric vitamins)
  12. Agree. Same here.
  13. I would look up the medical policy on their web site. If you can't find it they should be able to assist.
  14. It does! Im five weeks out and can go to dinner with my family no problem. I eat alot less, but leftovers are nice!
  15. I was sleeved on 2/10 and was invited to brunch and Bloody Mary's with friends. I wasn't going to go but I wanted to see them. I had a half of a virgin bloody mary and a meatloaf slider no bun. It was nice to get out and I didn't envy my friends giant burgers and friends one bit!
  16. I had my surgery on Feb 10th. I have had no issues with eggs. Just remember chew 30 times, eat slow, small bites. I have not had anything thats made me sick so far. Eating one bite too much though is very uncomfortable. I slowed down losing so I tried eating a bit more and it really helped. My body wasnt as worried I was starving it!
  17. I wasn't a huge coffee drinker before maybe two cups a day. I am three weeks post op and tried a cup of decaf today and it tasted awful to me. But since you can't really drink right before, during or right after breakfast I'm kind of like "what's the point".
  18. I have gotten antibiotics without a prescription.
  19. I had my surgery on 2/10. I work in the health system where I had it done so I didn't even try to keep it a secret. That being said I was working 4 days after my surgery and back in the office one week after my surgery. I did not use FMLA. Of course everyone is different. After the third day I felt so much better hope you do too!
  20. I feel you! I just moved to pureed foods and it is so much better! Hang in there!
