Hi, I'll be 1 week post op tomorrow and I've been feeling light headed at times even though I'm able to get my fluid and protein requirements in. My question is how many calories do people estimate they took in the first couple weeks post op? I estimate about 350 most days and this seems so low considering I'm walking also. I don't really want to add a lot more protein than recommended. My Dr said don't worry about carbs just get your protein in, so I wonder about some higher calorie protein drinks, but they would probably have more sugars. I can only have full liquids right now-no yogurt or anything. Just seems like especially for a healing body I should be taking in at least 600 calories or so.
