I was too! Got so desperate I was putting taco seasoning in Greek yogurt for savory. It was heaven. Started soft foods today. What a flippin' relief.

My surgery was also 3/31. What pain are you in? I feel great. Except for the dang sugary shakes.

PS I'm so gonna try the taco seasoning trick lol

I'm so sick of sweet everything! I'm 2 weeks post-op and just started week 3 (of 4) of the full liquids stage. I saw my nutritionist today for the first time post-op and I was almost in tears telling her how I could barely look at these sweet things anymore, I need savory! She's letting me puree things like black bean or lentil Soup and make some green smoothies (smoothies with vegetables and fruit. They just have to be blended really fine and I'll be adding unflavored Protein Powder to these new options. Thank goodness, I don't know if I could have made it 2 more weeks as is.!

My pain is stomach pain. It changes all the time. I think sometimes it's just terrible hunger pain, then I manage to eat a teaspoon of purée food and then that hurts. I'm so thirsty, but if I drink more that 2 tiny sips, it hurts. Then I get indigestion. I have pain in my back/ lungs and cant get a good breath. I'm just miserable.

Have you called your doctor? That doesn't seem right at all. I have no pain and drinking my fluids and Protein Shakes with no problems.

I put Unjury unflavored Protein Powder in everything at full liquid stage...chicken broth, beef broth, tortilla Soup base, hot and sour soup base, dilute/strained cream Soups (asparagus, chicken, mushroom, shrimp, celery, potato, Tomato, etc.). PB2 added to chocolate or vanilla shakes also made a nice flavor change.

I hear you on the sweet drinks!! Blah!

Have you tried cream of Tomato Soup? Campbells made with fat free milk is 10 grams of Protein per cup. I've been drinking that every day! Wegmans has a chicken broth that is 4grams of Protein per cup and only 30 calories.

I also put a spoonful of plain greek yogurt on sugar free Jello. It cut's the sweetness and it's sort of like whipped topping (not according to anyone else in my family...lol)

Definitely going to try taco seasoning in my greek yogurt too!

Let us know how it goes. I'm not having any pain.

I HATE soup/broth so that's no help either. I'm gonna try the Greek yogurt thing (even though I hate it too).

You may be suffering from acid reflux. I have had the same type of issues with eating and drinking. Today is the first day that I am not in pain after taking Nexium.

The taco seasoning idea is genius! Wish I'd have known that when my family was eating tacos last night, lol! I was sleeved 3/31 and have been struggling to get more than 1 shake in. Yesterday at Walmart my 10-year-old son spotted some "vials" from New Whey that are 42 g of Protein in just 3.8 oz. Let me tell you, it tastes like ass, but it's so worth it to only have to get 3.8 oz down! I'm taking a few swallows several times a day. I figure I can do this until I get to the point where I can have a protein bar!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
