It doesn't take long on this forum to become a Madame Rev fan.

How can we start & keep interesting conversations going? Start a book club here? Discuss movies? Funny things that happen to us during the day? Show off our pets? Tell what we're fans of? I have no idea!

Yes, we're all here originally because we had WLS but I've come to look forward to seeing posts from many of you! Wish you lived around the corner!

B

Indeed! Five Star Thread!!!!!

While I support everyone getting to ask their questions in their own time I just stew when I see someone write that they know they should use the search function but they don't "wanna"! As someone who lurked for months and then finally started posting, I always search first to see if I can find the answer, because quite frankly, I don't want to wait for hours to see if someone will answer a question, one that likely has been discussed before...

Now, where is that Madame Reverie for President booth? 'Cause I want to donate!, love your attitude and the way you bring comedy into everything, we all can use a little comedy!

Aww, you're too kind.

I don't think anyone would want me in charge of 'the big red button' if they knew how grumpy I was in the morning without at least 3 cups of tea and 5 cigarettes!

If we aren't laughing we are sad or Blah. I prefer a good laugh in the time I have left on earth. Maybe we can keep this thread going with the lizards, the laughers, the cigarette smoking coffee drinkers and somehow make it where we don't offend the Newbies we love dearly and once were. C'mon you funny girls keep me laughing! BTW, I have Gout, and as of today Shingles. I do not know what tomorrow will bring but I hope it is no more medicine or a lizard. So you can tell I need some laughs, right?

I'd like to laugh along with that, but it is actually very accurate.

If the tea and cigarette quotient is not maintained at least every 2 hours, this biatch gets grumpy

But was he eating it.. You know you've encountered a true grotbags if they chow down on their nasal produce. But not before, of course, giving it a good coat of looking at, grading it for texture, colour, potential flavour, etc.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...
