Sleeve to Bypass revisioners?

I'm looking for anyone who is pre or post op revision from VSG to Gastric Bypass. I am pre-op and going through the pre-op studies at this time. I have not gotten 100% approval for the revision from my insurance even though they are the ones telling me all the steps and where to go. I'm hopeful that is a good sign, though one never knows.

I'd love to hear from anyone! I don't think there are too many of us. :)

Oh my I'm very sorry to hear that. All of this couldn't happen soon enough. Turns out for myself the coordinator has not even submitted my packet to my insurance yet. I wasn't all that happy about it, but with how I feel I just want everything done yesterday. I'm sure you understand as you are suffering. Please keep in touch and let me know how you're doing.

Please keep in touch I'm a band to a sleeve heading to bypass. I have severe gerd. Hav had three dial actions and now I'm having a bravo test next week. Between throwing up etc. I know I need a change but never wanted the bypass. Hoping its ok

I had my revision on the 9th. I'm doing fine only the pain is pretty bad. Other than that my reflux is GONE!!! I'm so thankful for that. :)

Following - I went from band to sleeve. Band was awesome but slipped during pregnancy. I have no restriction with the sleeve so I want a bypass

Hi all

I had my mini gastric bypass (omega loop) 7 days ago. Previously I had a sleeve and before that a lapband.

Also had a hiatal hernia fixed and am still in hospital but that's because I developed a chest infection after surgery.

MGB-wise though the pain wasn't too bad. My surgery took 3 hours, longer than expected, but my surgeon has only just started doing MGBs... And my stomach has been though a lot in the past since the lapband mangled it lol

Looking forward to heading home tomorrow or the day after if this cough would clear up!

Hi all. Having lap band to RNY in the morning (9/29/2014). (-: It's been a long wait. I had my lap band in 2009 at 250 lbs. Stayed at around 220 for the next few years. Did Medifast and got down to 199 but gained it back plus some. I had the fluid taken out of my band four months ago due to signs of erosion, acid reflux and in preparation of RNY. Gained almost 25 pounds in 4 months following the fluid being taken out. Ugh. So, going in tomorrow I should be about 251-252. If it's less (due to the 3 day pre-op diet) great, if not, that's okay too. I have no doubt I'll lose it. I've researched this like crazy. Read every book, success and failure story I could find. I really understand the life changes I need to make this time and can't wait to make them. Couch potato to 5k is my first one - 2015 Disney Princess Half Marathon is the second! Anyway, I look forward to giving some updates to how it goes. I don't post much but reading all of yours has been invaluable. I'm wishing us all good health and success!!!

Hey flagirlintx,

My story is very very very similar to yours, even down to the weight :) I had my band out in February and my bypass is October 2nd! I'd love to hear how yours went! Hope it went great!
