Hello!! I went to my 2 week post-op today, I am down 17.8! I'm pretty excited about that. My nutritionist said not to watch the scale too close at this point in the game a lot of it is still fluids. I have been having a hard time getting my Protein and fluids in and we talked about that which was good, now being on phase 3 I can get more variety of foods in which will help with the protein intake! I go back to work tomorrow :-(. I think it will be good to get me on a schedule but I will miss being home and being able to get all my stuff done. Hope all is well, have a great week!

I'm also two weeks out and went back to work yesterday. I've done pretty well except that I still get pain in my pouch when I drink anything above room temperature (even room temp Water makes it hurt). My doc said that it would start to go away soon, and I sure hope it does, because it's slowing down my liquid intake. I'm not getting quite enough liquid most days. I'm excited, though, that I can get back to my Water aerobics class tonight! Looking forward to it. Good luck, everyone, with this incredible journey! :)

I am 11 day post-op, I'm still a little sore and having gas pains I'm taking Gas-X per my surgeon and it works, I becamed constipated yesterday and I took 2 tbsps of MOM. with Water it taking a long time to work. But other than that I am doing fine, Still changing bandgages from my J-P drain that was removed last Wed. the fluids are very little pink. My Surgeon told me it could be another week before it closes completely and stop draining. I have a total weight loss of 8lbs.

I'm two weeks out also! The time has gone by pretty quickly. I don't see my dr. until this Friday though. The thing I am struggling with most right now is energy. Like, none. I know it will come back, but I'm ready to feel energized again! Glad those on here seem to be doing well.

The energy will take a while. I thought I was dying the first week I felt like I was 90! I have to take a nap after using he bathroom I was that tired, but it does get better. I went back to work 2 weeks after and I was dragging but the next week was a little better. I am 5 weeks out today and I feel pretty good! So it will happen!!

This is my 13th day and I'm still very sore with low energy, It's takes alot of effort to get the Protein Shakes in so much in such a small space.

I'm day 12 post op. I am still very sore and bruised. My incision where the drain was is still leaking a bit. But I just read that someones surgeon said it could be another week before that stops. I am seeing my surgeon tomorrow. It is a relief because I'm still really swollen and I don't like that the incision started draining after a week of seeming closed. Oh well. I've lost 20 lbs between the pre-op liquid diet and the almost 2 week post op liquid diet. I'm ready to eat real food but a little nervous about where to start. I certainly don't feel ready to go back to work yet. I've got another week off thank heavens!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
