A chart is a good idea. My dtr came home from college to stay with me tomorrow. She's starting nursing school fall so it will be good practice for her.

Hey guys! My name is Erica. I was sleeved on Monday, too. I can't believe it's done and I'm back home already.

Here's my story: I have PCOS and have steadily gained weight since I had my first period in the 3rd grade. Everyone just figured at some point I would lose the weight but none of my docs ever recognized the PCOS. Then, about 7 years ago I had an episode where my vision doubled and the right side of my face went numb. Docs didn't know what it was and kept prescribing different things and bed rest. Finally, vision returned and so did the feeling. Everyone thought it was a nervous breakdown. That was the first time I hit over 300. I lost some weight after that on Atkins and working out but PCOS messes with your hormones and makes it very hard to lose. So, I never got out of the 290s. Lo and behold, 3 years ago I had another instance with my right eye. Except this time, I went blind. I couldn't see out of that eye and it was very painful. I went to see a neurologist who ordered a ton of scans and discovered I have Multiple Sclerosis. Well, I was definitely relieved to know what was going on but in the midst of discovering this, she also found a tumor on my kidney. I had to have it removed right away because it was malignant. I was on bed rest again after the surgery for 6 weeks and ballooned to about 340. I've kinda been stuck here for a while now.

I decided to have the sleeve for my health. I need to be able to have medical scans when necessary, I need to be able to just live. Since I started pre-op, I lost about 20 lbs. of course, I did three weeks preop vs two. Im trying not to weigh myself again until my follow up visit with my doc on the 14th. Besides, after the surgery, we are still swollen and carrying gas for a while so I don't want to weigh that.

My surgery went well. I had energy, I was walking, it was great. The gas pains were a bitch the first night but the walking did help. Now that I'm home I am freaking exhausted. Probably also had to do with the lack of sleep you get at a hospital and my MS but oh my gosh, I can hardly keep my eyes open today.

Thanks for having me on the losers bench with you guys. We have an incredible journey ahead of us and I'm rooting for all of you!

what app is it, how are you feeling

It's called Interval Timer. I hurt but it's bearable. They sent me home with the liquid hydrocodone/tylenol. Right now I'm setting an alarm for that too. It gets bad if I wait too lo long.

I felt that way yesterday gixxergirl. Today is a little better. liquid Tylenol 3 is nasty. Have to take nausea medication just to get it down. Will be glad when I can just take a pill. My little shitzpoo is stressing coz she can't sit on my lap. Maybe in a few more days.

hey guys!

I also had surgery April 21st. the first day was wretched, but things are looking up. I'm able to drink, and today I had really runny potato Soup with Unjury chicken flavored powder mixed in. It was really good.

I'm determined to take the healing process one day at a time and focus on getting my liquids first, then Proteins.< /p>

Yes! Sf Popsicles are the best. I added a tbsp of Protein to my beef broth tonight to see if I could handle it and all went well.

Does anyone have painful burps? Sometimes when I burp I feel like the gas bubble is right there with it. I dont know maybe just me.

I am so sore but the Tylenol & codone knocks me down. I sleep and sleep. Oh well. I'm taking each day as it comes. I just keep worrying that I'm doing something wrong. Ya know?

I dont burp a lot but I do feel the gas pain. I usually know when it's time for meds because the rolling gas starts to hurt again. Im still trying to figure out if I drinkin too much in my sips. I dont want to stretch anything. I just don't know how its suppose to feel

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
