Good luck. I'm out a week and sicker than a dog

I am beginning to question if I even had the surgery. No pain, no nausea, can once again sleep on my stomach...just weak from very little food and always hungry! Starting stage 2 today, so cream of wheat was good. Cooking potato and fresh peas and will purée together for lunch. Sweet potato for supper with a bite of tuna fish. See if that helps.

That's crazy that you're hungry. I don't think I will ever be hungry again! I constantly feel full! I have to force myself to eat a couple bites of yogurt at mealtimes.

I can't get my Protein in at the most 20 g a day

I have to keep focused in that as well. I got tired of the milk based shakes. Went to syntax nectar and drink something call fuzzy navel, And another called Caribbean Cooler. I also go to the Click decafe expresso Protein Powder. I put that with ice and blend in my nutri bullet. Tastes just like Starbucks frappacino..... Well kinda. :-) ha

I had my surgery on Thursday June 19, 2014. I was released on Saturday and I have to say, Friday, Saturday, Sunday AND Monday I was miserable. Bad case of buyers remorse! But here it is Tuesday and I feel fine. The Protein Shakes make me gag but I can stomach them for a while! Glad I did this!

It's funny how all doctors are different when it comes to the stages of food we can eat. I was sent home and told I could have all Clear Liquids and Protein Shakes. Today I started all liquids which only added on yogurt, cream Soups and farina. On July 4 I start mushies and on the 20th I can have all foods except fresh fruits and veggies. Can't have them until middle of August. Weird!

Ready for the last few hours to go by. Not nervous at all, surgeon was very reassuring today. I'll update when I can. Have to be at the hospital at 5am.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
