Where's the April sleevers....

Recommended Posts

My fruit selection is super limited, just banana, pear and applesauce. (I was sleeved April 29, and after two weeks of liquid I'm now on three weeks of very soft foods.) and of course now I've hit the dreaded stall! I'm SO bummed about that! I knew it was coming, so I don't feel like eating my way through it or anything, but after seeing scale move a little tiny bit every day it is hard to see it just absolutely stuck for three days now. My surgery was so late in April, maybe most of you have already hit this and moved on, yes? How are you all doing with it?

I have been walking a little more now but my calories are a little higher, but that calorie intake only moved from 400 a day on liquids - to 650 or so now on soft foods. What kind of limits you have? Any tricks that made the stall seem to go away faster?

Sluggish me.

I actually used to weigh myself twice a day, everyday! When I hit my stall, I got frustrated. I stopped weighing and after about a week and a half, the scale started moving again. Part of my issue was PMS (water retention) and the other part was simply working through the stall. I started walking a bit more and that seemed to help.

Thanks MickeyMouse - I do weigh once a day, but I'll try to stop for a few days. I already upped my walking from 6000 to 7000 steps a day (3 miles or so) so maybe I just need to be patient. I wish I was not supposed to make sure I got fruits vegetables and dairy in every day, because that increases my calorie count, but the nutritionist said that is what will give me the most energy. I guess if I think about it, when I was only having 3 to 400 cal a day I was more tired than I am now. I'll just keep at it and try not to weigh in so often.

I am 6 weeks out and frustrated. Lost 20 Pds in 2 weeks and now I have only lost 5 in 4 weeks. I have journaled and saw the dietician and not sure why the slow weight loss. Scientifically it should not be possible. I am exercising everyday everything from walking to boot camp. I am trying to be patient. I am going to up my Protein and see what happens

If anyone has suggestions feel free.

I'm six weeks post also. I had 2.5 weeks of the weight loss stall . Didn't do anything different. Now I have loss 2-3 pounds per week . I knew the stall was coming so I didn't let it get to me . Only weight 2x week at most . But the possible Hair loss thing in the next few months is stressing me out .

I too have stalled.. :( it is super frustrating. I keep telling myself more Protein and more water! I ran a half marathon last Saturday and have been pretty active so I know it's not the exercise/moving that is holding me back! I have done bike rides and zumba this week along with ran 3 miles 3 times this week. I don't know why the dang stalls have to happen but I HATE them! I need to put away my scale because it is so frustrating.

I am taking Biotin chews... Haven't lost any hair yet... But ya I hope my stall doesn't last that long I will go crazy!! My friend showed me a picture of myself before I started this journey and reminded me how much different and better I look and feel... It helped a little... But I'm gonna get a new scale if mine keeps reading 220!!! Hahahah

Officially under 200! Yay!

Next goals

1. Get into my size 12 jeans and be able to wear them for more than an hour! (I have them on now but will probably take them off when I finish typing cause I may still rip the seams with one deep squat!)

2. Go under my all time low of 180, which I saw for about 15 minutes 4 years ago!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
