Metalband,

I had the same problems!! (you can go back several days and see all my questions!!) I went to TickerFactory, and I made sure I copied everything (the square parentheses and all...whatever they're called!) and pasted it under my name in the signature box (similar to the one I am typing in now for a quick reply). Then, save your signature, or preview it. I kept getting "invalid URL" , and then I had too many lines??? (I read somewhere you were only allowed 6 lines). Anyway, you have to copy everything in the bb code box, then paste it in your signature. Good luck! (it took me a week to figure it out!)

Hope everyone's doing well...it's so good to hear from everyone who has had their surgeries and is doing well.

Only 3 more days!! Whoo hoo!!

It's great to hear that all of you that have stepped into BandLand are doing well!

I like the name "May Flower", but understand that lack of meaning.

We'll come up with something. I do like that when you go to other threads it comes up! We could get away from the "May" part. Shrinking Violets, doesn't mention when their surgery was in the name. Did that make sense?

Good luck to the upcoming bandsters!

I have 2 weeks from yesterday!! WOOHOO! I have my 2hr. appt tomorrow with the nurse and anethesiologist (sp.) Then Thursday is my appt. with the Dr. and then labwork.

Time is just a ticking!!!

Ok, here's one idea for a logo/image.. If you wanted to use one.. I am trying to find something with a maypole, and transitition it with some stick figure guys/girls.. but I haven't found anything yet.. Let me know what you think. :)

I think I may need to make the wording darker or clearer.. I can add a slogan too... let me know.. Or we can still just be the 2007 Bandsters, that's cool too!! :biggrin1:

JerseyDori and Mischievous1,

All the best tomorrow! Will be thinking of you.

Hoping all our Tuesday bandsters are doing well!

Today's the first day that I haven't had to update the May calendar! I'm sure we will have a few more May bandsters before

the month is over. Nice to have such a great group to share the experience and encourage each other.

Cheers,

NimbleBean

Good luck tomorrow- JerseyDori and Mischievous1

Our thoughts and prayers will be with you.

Crabcake so glad you are doing well. I can't wait to hear

how your experience was.

GOOD LUCK EVERYONE WHO IS BEING BANDED TOMORROW AND HEADS UP FOR THE ONES WHO WERE TODAY. I MYSELF HAVE HAD A PRETTY GOOD DAY WAS ABLE TO GET OUT THE HOUSE AND GET MY HAIR DONE (YOU KNOW GIRL STUFF) FELT PRETTY GOOD LOOKING FORWARD TO GOING BACK TO WORK TOMORROW SO THINGS CAN GET BACK TO NORMAL. AND SLOWLY I CAN START SHEDING THE POUNDS (lol)

How is everyone tonight? It is day 4 for me, and I am feeling more like I will survive. I wish I didn't feel hungry, but I guess that just goes with the process. My shoulder is still hurting. I am so confused on what I can and can't have that I am scared to do anything!

I'm being banded tomorrow and I feel the same way even though I haven't had the surgery yet! I hope they give me a manual or something lol. Good luck going back to work!

You folks have been posting so much I haven't had a chance to catch up for a coulple of days Here's to tomorrow's bandster - JerseyDori - best wishes to you and I hope you get some sleep!

One comment. A lot of folks have a pre-op diet, and I don't. I'm not concerned (I guess) just curious how different each doctor is in how they approach the surgery. My doctor, Dr. Rantis of The Kane Center of Alexian Brothers Med. Center has been doing gastric bypass and lapband surgery for years and years. I do have to drink two shakes a day until the day before surgery, but that is supposed to increase my Protein intake and help healing. I can still eat other food up to the day before surgery. The time until surgery is fast approaching, and what was just a dream before will actually become reality! It's scary and exciting. I really appreciate all the feedback from those who have already been banded this month. The moral support and assurances are PERFECT for those of us still waiting.

My thoughts are with you!
