I will be Late June or sometime in July. I'm from Wilmington, Delaware. The bonus about having a summer surgery is that I'll be able to get out and walk while the weather is nice.

That's great! Here it gets to about 110 degrees and miserable in the summer. But swimming is nice. I wonder how soon after surgery we can swim. I can walk in the mall maybe lol

Yay another July sleever! I don't feel all alone anymore and somehow it feels like it's a lot closer to surgery time now that people are starting to say they are in July too!

Any preparations you all have been doing so far? I just kept thinking that my surgery will be in a few months time but I haven't been really doing anything yet in preparation for the surgery. Any special diet that you have already started? Exercise? I haven't started anything yet and I'm just too scared I may not be able to comply with the required diet 2 weeks pre-op. Yikes!

I don't have an exact date yet but my 6 months will be up in July! They say final approval from insurance takes no longer than 2 wks from the last visit then surgery is scheduled. I've been drinking tons of Water. Cut out coffee. Quit smoking last October. But my bmi is right on 40 so I can't really diet too much. After I get the final approval and surgery date I plan on dieting for those two weeks. Like drinking Protein drinks and eating lean meats. They said I was too small for a pre op diet but I want to kind of be used to small meals and drinking a lot. Until then im trying to make better choices when there's an option.

July 9th is my date... NY here!!!

Yayyyy. I won't have a date for a little while yet. Congrats!

I have my medical clearance appointment on June 20th. When I meet with the surgeon, then I'll receive a surgery date. I'm so nervous and excited all at the same time. The pre-op requirement stuff went by so fast.

Hello everyone! I'm from Sydney. My surgery date is on the 1st of July. I will be having my 2nd appointment on Monday, 16th of June. Haven't actually started eating healthy. I'm a bit nervous that I may not be able to do the pre-op diet but I gotta be positive that I can do it.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
