Man I wish I could only do 48 hours!!! Mine is the same thing High Protein, low fat and carb, and I have to buy it from for $230.00 for 2 week supply? He gives you 2 jugs of Protein powder, a little container of Fiber, and some chewable Vitamins. I don't know if its the same as the last time I had it, but the Fiber is nasty!!!

Hey longroad34, thanks for the help, and I would love to be able to talk to someone, its also cool you live in ma as your the first person I have talked to that does and knows what this winter has been like for us massachusetts people. I as well struggle with depression have for a long time. I take meds for it now and it makes me feel so much better, but during the winter I struggle a little more because I love the sun and the heat and the snow just depresses me more and I just deal with it cause it's where I live and it's where I grew up, and all my family is. I would love to move somewhere warm all year round, but all my family and my kids I just don't want them to miss growing up with their cousins and family? So I may change my mind someday but we will see??? So if you want inbox me your email and we can chat and keep close to help each other through this journey. I know it's not going to be easy but this is my last option to loose the weight and get healthy. I need knee surgery and this is the only way that the orthopedic surgeon will do the surgery if loose the weight and get down to a healthy weight that I want to stay at so I can be fitted to a knee brace that i can wear when I play sports. So that is my ultimate, cause some days I can't even walk up my stairs to use the bathroom cause my knees hurt so bad, and they dislocate if I step wrong? So this is my last chance!!!

Your story sounds like mine. 3 handsome sons. Fibro diagnosis in 2009. Lap band in 2011. No luck with the band at all. I am having the band out and gastric sleeve done on March 24. I'm scared but I need to do this. Let's hope it helps this Fibro pain for us. Good luck.

I feel a lot better with my fibro since I started taking Lyrica. Have you tried it?

just started my preop liquid diet and have to be on it until my surgery on the 18th. This liquid thing is going to be hell! I only get 750 cals/day--is that similar to what you guys have to do?

Jess--I have fibro as well and use cymbalta daily and hydrocodone as needed for the pain. It's been a catch 22 though because they say exercise helps but I'm so heavy and it hurts to exercise much so...

I'm really hoping the wt loss helps alleviate fibro symptoms and the actual surgery doesn't hurt more BECAUSE of the fibromyalgia!

I didn't want to take lyrica because of the possible weight gain. I've tried everything and I'm on Lexapro and Cymbalta. But the only thing that takes the edge off is hydrocodone. And it totally is a catch 22 because it is so painful to exercise.... Especially afterwards, it feels like my muscles just tighten up and I can hardly move:/

Hi fellows, I have the same liquid diet, and I have to be on it till my surg. and mine is the 19th, and yes its the same, it is hell at first, like yesterday I by 4 I was starving, but just keep drinking Water in between your shakes, and stuff. You will be in the bathroom every other minute but it's better than getting stomach hunger pains? Also when you do your shake, do it in the blender as much as possible with Water or whatever your using and add ice to make it like a milkshake, cause the thicker it is the longer it will keep you from being hungry. Thats what I did, last night I took one of my chocolate shakes and added Peanut Butter to it. So yummy!!! Added Protein. My doctor said I can add fruit, anything I want as long as I am drinking it. So Add what you can to your shake to help keep you from getting hungry!!! Good luck, hope you the best with your surgery.

I'm so excited and nervous! I just want to be done.... I'm not looking forward to the pain but I'm so willing to endure it for a chance to be happy and healthy. I am not on a liquid diet, just high Protein and low carb. But I've really been drinking Protein Shakes and eating cottage cheese and eggs. The worst part is I just started my period and I want CHOCOLATE! So bad! Good luck on your journey and keep us updated:)

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
