Thank you!! I'm 1 wk, 2 days post op and today was a good day! I am down 16.5 total.

HW: 229, SW: 220 Today: 212.5

I feel so good! I'm going to try to go back to work tomorrow. If it's too much, I'll leave early. For me, I can't wait to be back in my daily routine and I am so happy that I did this. I actually catch myself looking in the mirror and smiling! I haven't done that in years! The only thing is I think my teeth are yellowing and I wonder if that's from lack of chewing! I start puréed in 5 days and I can't wait to chew! I'm going to be seeking out recipes and tips for the puréed stage. I live my sleeve!

I didn't sleep good until after about 3 days. I had a problem with the pain meds messing up my sleep. So, I just stayed on Tylenol and writhing about 2 days, I started feeling normal. Now, I sleep through the night with no problem. Hope you feel better soon!

Exactly two weeks post-op today. Down 8.3 since surgery. Total including 2 wk pre-op 17.2. Today I start soft and mushy foods and I can't wait! I'm not hungry, just want to chew.

Hi,

I'm feeling really good! Back to work full time and been so busy. Haven't really lost any weight this week but only drinking like 16 oz of Water & I think that's why. Going to try to get my 64 oz in today and see if that breaks the stall. :)

Glad to hear you are doing well and back to work but I gotta spank you about not getting enough Water. It's critical not just for your weight loss but for your well-being. Take two or three big water bottles with you to work and wherever you go. Dehydration is a danger always for us sleevers but especially in the early stage of healing.

Hi! I am a Jersey Girl too!!! I had the lap band done in June of 2012. My starting weight was 317lbs. I lost 100lbs in 8 1/2 months. I became very sick and had to have the band revised in March of 2013. My weight the day of revision was 216. Since the revision band was larger than the original mr Dr could never get it to work again. I am currently 265 lbs and am having the sleeve done on April 30th. I LOVE reading your journey and wish you all the best.

I know...I'm trying to get all the water in now. I drank more yesterday and I'm still at a stall. So

disappointing!

You'll be so much happier with the sleeve after a week of recovery. I just wish I didn't have this stall. It's so frustrating!

1 month post op.....

I LOVE my sleeve! I'm so glad I did this! Even though I had a stall for almost 2 weeks that I finally broke this week, I feel amazing!!!! So far, I'm down 20.5 pounds! Yesterday marked one month. I know if I didn't have my sleeve, I would still be sluggish, 20.5 pounds heavier and not fitting into my clothes better! Best decision ever!!!!

Congratulations!!!! Does the 20.5 lbs include your pre-op weight loss? My surgery is may 6 and I've lost 13 so far. I'm wondering what I will be able to lose before my sisters wedding on Aug 9th.

Hi Jerziegirl

My surgery is on 4/23 and I've lost only 5lbs so far so I'm a little nervous about that. Were you weighed in the morning of your surgery when you checked in at the hospital? I wasn't given an amount to lost, I was just told to do the pre op diet but I've seen ppl lose so much weight and I'm sitting at 5lbs... :/

Hi,

I lost 8 pounds pre op and I'm not sure if they weighed me in the hospital or not cause I really don't remember that. It looks like you had your surgery yesterday so keep us posted. 5 pounds is great! I'm down 25 now. It's slow but I'm not drinking enough Water and I'm not exercising. I know when I step that up starting this weekend, I'll be really happy! :)

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
