think he liked me better fat..:-(

Pretty sure its true..just a hard pill to swallow..he liked me better fat with no self confidence..today he asked me why I think I'm the shit since surgery if I haven't even lost "the weight" yet...and reminded me that when we met I was just an overweight single mother with no friends and no man...and he made me awesome ...I never heard him say such hateful mean things...wtf...

That was a very mean and cruel thing to say, you deserve better and if that's his true feelings concerning your choice to be healthy, make your emotions healthy as well and kick that dead best to the curb .

Glad to hear you say he was packed cause clearly he is not the man for you.... now thst he'll be gone force on yourself & child then when you least expect it the perfect man for you will appear! Oh and you have plenty of friends RIGHT here! I'll be YOUR best friend if need be...

Thanks for the support...as of this evening his things are packed and he's on the couch..I'm nobody's door Mat..I've never taken crap off him and I'm not about to start...

You really are the shit!!!!!! Good for you.

Are you OK? We haven't heard from you since Sunday. These things can sometime go bad and we would like to know all is well.

Most everyone jumped on your guy and, from what little we know, ... rightfully so! However, there is probably more to the story.

I really like what Butterflyhigh said - was a lot of wisdom in her comments.

As a romantic type, if I don't hear differently from you I'm going to assume you two reconciled and he agreed to get counseling and you will live happily ever after!! :-)

Good for you. IMHO you are handling this very well! Hope it all works out the way you want it to! Congratulations on the surgiversary - I'm celebrating 3 days today..... :-)

Hey. I am no friend of an unsupportive/abusive partner but let's give the guy a little break. It can be scary to see big changes in the one's we love. Perhaps he is scared of losing the version of you he fell in love with as you lose your weight. Try to get to the bottom of this with him. If he is just a jerk you may need to give him the boot. If he is scared and inarticulate, he may need your help. It doesn't seem fair that you need to do so much of this work (go through surgery, lose the weight, hold his hand) but you can do it! Good luck.

This is the exact reason why I didn't tell my husband about my weight loss surgery. I just don't think he would be supportive at all. He thinks I had a hernia repair hahaha.. He stayed the hospital and all with me.. Right now today I'm 41lbs down and he still doesn't know..Men can very unsupportive and mean at time... Just continue to be strong lose your weight and lose him if he can't accept the new you... I know that's not nice but it is what it is..

Sooo..we finally hashed it out and I got my apology...apparently there were a lot of unspoken feelings about me changing..and carrying myself different and taking all sorts of extra care in my make up, hair, etc...so he was really choking on his jealous bone plus said he felt attacked when I started listing all the things he wasn't doing to please the new me...so..I get it...well keep working through it..(but I'm keeping my secret savings just in case I gotta fly the coupe)

Glad to hear you got your apology and he tried to explain himself. I hope he comes around and is more supportive, but am glad you are prepared in case he doesn't. Take care, and keep us posted. :)
