how soon can I eat, sleeved on 2/4

I'm really missing not eating, especially when I have to cook dinner for my guys every night. This liquid diet is satisfying, BUT, I miss eating! Can't I just have mashed potatoes or noodle soup, help!!

What does your post op instructions say? Every surgeon is different. The post op liquids allow you to heal properly, you do not want to risk a leak by eating to soon. When in doubt, call your doctor.

It says I can start eating pureed food on my 14th day :-(, so I guess I really have to wait till then.Thanx

Your doc did not give u eating guidelines. ? I started eating puréed foods the 4th week after my surgery. I was supposed to be on liquids for only two weeks., however, I could not eat purée till the fourth week cause it would not go down and my stomach could not ingest the food. it was a slow process for me to introduce new foods. Check with your doc office or the nutritionist u saw pre-surgery. Stick to their guidelines.

It was 8 weeks for about everything except solid meat & it was 6 months for that.

Yes, please wait for your own safety. You've made it this far.....YOU CAN DO IT!
