  3. I've had a lot of weight loss but now have a lot of loose skin, & I understand medicare will pay for skin removal if there are rashes. Does anyone have any information on this?
  4. I got on the scale this morning & weighed 198. I've got an appointment with my Doc on Friday for my one year checkup, that's 90 lbs gone . I'm sure he'll be pleased.
  5. My wife & I recieived a card from our surgeons stating we've had bariatric surgery & can only eat a small portion, most places will give you a child's price but they are all different. Only found one that didn't honor it so far.

  7. How many grams of protien are the quest bars?
  8. My Doc recomended Body Fortress, it has 30 grams of protien per serving & the chocolate has a very good flavor. It's not as bulky if mixed with water.
  9. It was 8 weeks for about everything except solid meat & it was 6 months for that.

  12. My grandaughter is going to consultation for WLS & I support her 100%. I figure if she can have a permanant solution at an early age she will have a much happier life than yoyo dieting for decades like I did.
  13. I would wait at least 8 weeks for beef or pork in it. .
  14. I had my 90 day check up today & I've lost a total of 51 lbs. My doc is very happy with me since he went through everything with my band for 5 years. I'm a lot happier with the sleeve & so pleased with myself that I made the decision go with the sleeve.
  15. My Doc didn't empty my band & removed the band & did the sleeve the same day.

  17. I went in today for my 30 day follow up & I'm down 30 lbs. My doc was very pleased with me since he's gone through all the struggles with with the lap-band for the last five years. So far I'm much happier with the sleeve.

  19. My Doc does both & all I know is every time I go to my Doc's office there's at least 1 or 2 by-pass patients in for a revision from a complication. I'm just glad I chose the sleeve.
  20. Had my band to sleeve surgery at the same time. Doc said surgery went very well & my band wasn't emptied beforehand.
  21. I had an endoscopy before my sleeve surgery, there's not much to it.
  22. I'm 4 weeks out & can drink as much as I want. I'm eating about 3/4 cup of food at a time but I'm getting hungry quicker & more often as I go. Did anyone understand that we wouldn't experience as much hunger with the sleeve than the band?
  23. I'm 2 weeks out & they're telling no sweets.
