Dumping...

I had my revision on May 6th. I feel wonderful however when I had something that did not agree with me I got the sweats a horrible stomach ache and the runs. Someone said this was dumping but I thought that was throwing up? With the band I got sick immediately if food didnt go down, this was a delayed reaction. I was find while eating and got sick about 15 minutes after I was done. Can someone tell me what this dumping really is? Thanks.

no, dumping syndrome is not throwing up. Its exactly what you just described. Doesn't happen as often with the sleeve as with bypass, but it can. Especially if the food is sugary or has lots of fat in it.

Thanks for your answer. It was something sweet that got me sick and once a cream soup. I am only 3 weeks out so I am figuring it is trial and error.

Yes, you had dumping! Hopefully it won't continue!

I'm 2 weeks out & they're telling no sweets.
