Glad you two are doing well and not in too much pain :). Did they offer you any liquids? My doc. Said I would only get Water and ice chips the first day.

I only got ice chip so far but only until midnight because they are going to check if there is and leakage today I'm hoping it's soon that they run this test, since my throat is getting dry!

My surgery is in two days. I'm a little nervous, but trying to stay positive. I've convinced myself something is going to go wrong. I'm a worrier like that. Good to see so many people in the same boat though!

Hi Mrs. B...yeah, I believe most of us think or thought that way. I made sure my wishes were known and all my ducks were in a row if ya know what I mean? :) I'm sure we will all do fine!

UPDATE!!! Received a call from my Surgeons office and they have moved my surgery from the 17th to the 12th. Starting my liquid diet Friday THIS Friday. I'm not going to lie, I instantly panicked and walked in circles, talking to my self for about 5 mins, then kicked myself in the butt and reminded ME that I have been preparing for this since July 2013 and I am READY no matter what the date. I am anxious but also THRILLED. Good luck to ALL!!

Just sent hubby off to eat he's been here all night with only a granola bar and coffee waiting for them to come get me for the X-ray we did a couple of laps around this floor..,

My surgery is on Friday...I'm a lil bummed because it's not till 5:45pm!!! That's a long day of NO eating or drinking!!

I'm on a clear liquid diet starting today (and it sucks the big one) sooo lethargic.

I'm a worrier too...so I totally understand. But I too am trying to stay positive! We got this!! :)

No...I have no idea. I'm a squeeze in as I was scheduled feb 4, got an upper respiratory infection and had to reschedule..and I chose another surgeon in the group, actually he's the founder if the practice.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
