I'm in a stall and I don't like it!

Recommended Posts

I'm about 3 1/2 months out and prior to the new year I was really rockin my sleeve. I hit onederland... yay me! Then nothing. I've been stuck between 196-197 since the beginning of January. I know, I know, stally are normal, blah blah blah. Still sucks! I get around 70g Protein every day and 6 to 8 glasses of Water. Around 800 calorie. Do you think I'm getting enough calories? Or should I just keep doing what im doing and be patient? Frustrating.

I hear ye - I've been on a stall for six weeks now - and it aint no fun :(

think we just need to persevere.

I am considerably further out than you - was sleeved Oct 12, so I'm wondering if that's it - 50lbs short of my own personal goal :(

Hey Seela.

I've been stalled for a week now. I looked threw myfitness pal and compared the last week to the best weeks I had losing. The difference for me was carbs. The last few days my carbs have krept up...that's the only thing I've done differently.

So..I reset my goals on myfitnesspal so that its a little more clear to me. In order to lose, I need to stay at 20-25 carbs or less.

Could your carbs be creeping up too?? Just a thought.

I was expecting to see a sad story until I read you've only been waiting since the beginning of January.

Take pictures, measure yourself... find other ways to measure your success. The scale isn't always going to move when you want it to.

Lose the word "only" from your vocabulary. It will make your journey a whole lot more happy.

I'm 3 MOS out and have hit a stall too. My nurse said maybe I'm eating too many carbs. How in the world do u eat 20-25 carbs? My Protein shake has 10! I could use some suggestions for Protein and low carbs it's so overwhelming!

Another thing to try is to change things up. If you are walking for exercise try a cardio dvd, or strength training. If you eating a lot of the same things day after day try making some changes.

Omg! I was so happy to get home from work and see so many responses! Also I found it interesting that most of you that responded were sleeved in October as well. Thanks for the pep talk and thank you for the info from your dr about stalling at 3-4 months. I wasn't really whining as much as I was looking for support which is exactly what I got, so... thanks. 95%of the time I do great so I'm gonna keep on truckin and trust the process!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
