Hi I got my band on Oct. 10Th and have had two fills.. it's been right at a month since my second fill. I am scheduled for 3rd fill this next week. Anyway I am just now feeling like I have a band and I'm having a bit of a hard time eating just the last 3 or 4 days all of the sudden. I m wondering if I'm just now noticing the 2nd fill. Would it take weeks to notice the difference? I'm hoping nothing is wrong. I was away on business for a cpl weeks wonder if stress and flying would make band feel tighter or what? Today was the first time I kind of threw up my food. It was eggs. Maybe Im eating too fast? I have a few more days til I go to Dr so wanted some input or opinions please..

hi when I have had a fill done it normally takes a couple of days before I notice any further restriction , no more but we are all different some fill it straight away others take longer . when eating always try to concentrate on what you are doing , eat slowly a small amount at a time chewing well , it is easy to forget at times especially if in company but your body soon reminds you ; not nice . I am nearly 14 months post op and still learning , good luck with your journey :)

Thank you... I do forget sometimes, especially if I'm really hungry. After the episode this morning I'm feeling sore so I guess I'll be on liquids for the rest of today. That ugly feeling in my chest was not fun!

Hi there, I hear you on the solar plexus pain -- just went through this yesterday myself when I got stuck on mushrooms. I have heard that eggs can be problematic because they are often two textures -- the whites can be rubbery, for example.

I think every one is different as far as how and when their bands feel tighter or how long it takes to completely feel the effect of a fill -- and of course other factors like flying, weather, time of the month, etc. Isn't it something figuring all this out!? I am feeling tighter myself all of the sudden. Had my last fill on January 6th and am scheduled to go back the 20th. I have had four fills and I will not get another next week since I'm feeling restriction, not eating more than my tennis-ball sized portion, etc. Sometimes I do get hungry again before the 4-5 hours have elapsed but I think I need to be with my band the way it is for a while while I get used to everything. It may be that I'm in the green zone already.

Oh I feel a little better hearing that. I will definitely let my Dr know this next week and see what he says. I thought I had heard flying can make things weird before.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
