Having gastric bypass on April 7th which is a revision of a reversal of a revision of a Vertical Banded Gastroplasty. This type surgery was before Lap-band availability. Super anxious to begin my new life.

I couldn't keep any food down. Throwing up after every meal. I ended up in the ICU because I was throwing up blood too. After 4 days and 2 different hospitals my surgeon arranged for me to have a scope. My pouch was closed and she couldn't even get the camera through so I had a dilation. If you can feel food get stuck in your chest or throwing up constantly it usually means that there is a stricture. It was a very easy procedure.

it was instant relief. I was put back on liquids for about a week and I have only thrown up twice since then.

Well I finally crossed that plateau, have dropped a few more lbs. I think i'm just losing closer to normal now, instead of 5-7 a wk, it's maybe going to be 2-3. I'm ok with that. 40 down in 9.5 wks. I'm very happy with inches lost, that is what continues to change even if the scale hasn't moved. Total inches combined from all over my body, 43! That's exciting. Twice over the last wk I have had people not even recognize me, until right up close and I'm saying "hi" - so and so! That's weird too, but oddly flattering. Nothing fits, even workout clothes are getting too big. I want to buy new stuff so bad, but want to get closer to goal first. Some new things I bought in the beginning are already too big, kind of a waste. Although a great feeling to give things away that are too big rather than too small :)

It is good to see that our group is losing weight after their plateaus. I hope that everything is going well. My plateau lifted almost 2 weeks ago. I have been losing not quite a pound a day. I have lost 11 pounds in 13 days. But I have run into vertigo. My doctor has put me on anti-vertigo meds while she waits to get my blood results back. But she did say it is most likely due to losing weight so quickly combined with my low blood pressure and low heart rate. I have been taking my Vitamins and eating as I should (roughly 900-1200 calories a day with at least 60 grams of protein). I am also getting exercise using Zumba Rush at home or my recent purchase of beginners yoga. I am just hoping that the vertigo goes away soon. I am beginning to think that I lose roughly 15-20 lbs and then hit a plateau so my body catches up before it crashes. Anyone else suffer from almost debilitating dizzy spells?

I have lost 32# but been on a stall for 2 weeks. Been put back on full liquids and still stalled.. 3 scopes this month, 2 strictures and 1 "ops I wasn't supposed to have corn in my soup" I have 40 more lbs to go and wonder if I will lose them. My blood sugar stays to low and it keeps me in the stage where my body won't burn stored fat.. depressing

Factors Affecting the Growth of the Alternative Sweeteners Industry:
Health Consciousness: The increasing awareness among individuals about the health issues linked to high sugar consumption, such as obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular diseases, is supporting the market growth. Consumers are becoming more health-conscious and seeking products that can provide sweetness without the negative health effects associated with sugar. This shift in consumer preferences is leading to a greater demand for low-calorie and natural sweeteners like stevia, monk fruit, and erythritol. These sweeteners offer the added benefit of having minimal impact on blood glucose levels, making them suitable for diabetic and health-conscious individuals.
Technological Advancements: Innovations in the production and formulation of alternative sweeteners are impelling the market growth. Advancements in biotechnology and food science are leading to the development of high-intensity sweeteners with improved taste profiles and functional properties. Innovations in fermentation processes enhance the production efficiency and quality of natural sweeteners like stevia and monk fruit. These technological improvements are making alternative sweeteners more appealing to both manufacturers and consumers. Enhanced stability, solubility, and sweetness intensity allow these sweeteners to be used in a wide range of products, ranging from beverages to baked goods.
Consumer Trends and Preferences: Evolving consumer trends and preferences are playing a significant role in driving the alternative sweeteners market. The growing demand for clean-label products, which are healthier and free from artificial ingredients, is offering a favorable market outlook. Consumers are increasingly seeking natural and plant-based sweeteners, aligning with broader trends toward plant-based diets and veganism. Besides this, there is an increase in the demand for low-calorie and sugar-free alternatives that support weight management and overall wellness. Food and beverage companies are responding to these trends by innovating and expanding their product lines to include options sweetened with alternative sweeteners, thereby catering to changing tastes and health concerns of modern consumers.
