My sleeve Day 1

So I just had surgery to remove my ten yr old broken lap band and do a revision to a sleeve. Had my surgery at Laredo medical center with Dr Michael Morris. Love him!!! Hated the hospital. Had a hernia fixed and gallbladder removed at the same time. Doc said surgery lasted three hours because I had a ton of scar tissue he had to dig out :( I can sure feel it too. My weight just before surgery was 222 lbs and I'm 5'1" I had BCBS of Tennessee and they required I lose ten percent which I did but it took nine months to do so.

So day one Dec 31st. It's 24 hours past my surgery. They took me down to check for a leak this morning. All clear! They told me I can start on Clear liquids for today and tomorrow and maybe a Protein shake. Sooo here I sit staring at my broth and Jello.... I've been taking the tiniest of bites but it kinda gurgles going down and I can tell I don't want another bite. How am I supposed to get anything in? I think I've had an oz maybe over the last couple of hours. Is this normal?

I'm not in absolute horrible pain now although I did have it rough yesterday. I'm not nauseated anymore but my abdomen is sooooo tight and filled with air. They say to keep walking and it'll go away, I sure hope they are right. My shoulder hurts too. Kinda weird. Ok so off to walk a bit and see if I feel a little better.

Here's a recap of how it's gone so far.

High weigh- 249 lbs 5'1"

Surgery day weight 222 lbs on dec 30, 2013

Week 1- lost 8 lbs

Week 2- lost 6 lbs

Week 3- lost 5 lbs

Week 4- lost 0

Week 5- lost 0

Good thing is the stall is broken now but I can't record that until next Monday.

That's great! Overall, how do you feel? Tired? Hungry? How's your energy?

When did u guys get hungry after surgery? I am 7 days out and feel hunger pains. Is that normal? I also haventbhad a bm yet. Normal?

Thanks for the insight!

Let's see, Day 0 was the day after surgery (Tues). Today, 2/5 Wed. Was Day 1 and I've felt my sleeve gurgle a lot -- which feels somewhat like hunger pangs pre-surgery - but I'm NOT actually hungry - just trying to sip as much protein (Isopure) as I can - which hasn't been anywhere near the 30 oz. goal - more like 12 oz. today & 8 oz. yesterday. This is tough!

I feel awesome. No problems really. I'm eating well just smaller amounts so it's exactly what I wanted :)

I still get hungry when it's time to eat which at first made me upset cause I don't wanna be hungry. But then the tiniest amount of protein takes that away immediately so hungry or not, I can live with that.
