Hi! Your just four days before me!! Have you started your liquid diet yet? I'm so worried about getting headaches during it. Are you excited? I can't wait! I look forward to chatting.

I start my diet on the 9th. Did you have to go thru all of this for the band also?

Looks like we will be at it together...Yes...my preop for the band was 2 weeks but I was able to eat 1 meal daily of a lean protein and green veggie..I didn't have prelabs, ekg and chest xray for the band either...I must say that my new surgeon is about more thorough than my previous surgeon who did the band...

How is everyone doing today?? I meet with the NUT on Monday, start liquid on Thursday! Yikes, it's getting close. This is my last weekend to eat out so my hubby is taking me to dinner.

Enjoy your weekend...I'm here doing all my preop things now..labs, ekg, chest xray...it's getting close!!!!!!

I'm so excited for you both and the rest of us will learn so much from you gals!

My body is responding very well to high protein/low carbs and doing some movement each day. Biggest Loser workouts, yoga, and WATP have been a great way to start! I actually eat when I feel stomach hunger now and that has been a new experience for me. Ignoring "head hunger" has been difficult, but not impossible.

I am down 16 lbs. since my December doctor's appointment and have my next appointment in about 1/12 weeks. It seems like a lot of weight, but since I started at 318 lbs., much of it is Water weight and I've always found that start of losing weight is not the hard part- but staying consistent and keeping it off is the real test for me. I am hoping that the surgery will help me battle with those issues.

I hope everyone is off to a great new year and is staying warm!

Wow Alex! That's great! It's only been a few days. I have a walking video I like, I hope exercise is easier after surgery, I get out of breath so fast.

I started making small changes the same day my dr told me I had gained weight last month, but I didn't get very serious til last week. It's pretty common for very obese people to a lot at first

WATP and yoga are great bc I get a nice workout without exhausting myself so much.

Baby steps!

You are off to a great start Alex. I am trying to lose some pounds pre op and your willpower motivates me to stay on track. Thank you!

Hi everyone! I started my preop liquid diet today. I guess it could have been worse. I also met with the surgeon and was told I have mutated f5 gene. That means my blood clots longer, so now I have to meet with a vein dr. Who will insert a mesh thru my groin to catch any clots. At least this will be done at the beginning of my surgery and it's not separate. I've come this far... Only 10 more days!!

How is everyone doing?

Kcamp what is you pre-op diet? Should I be worried about my calorie intake? I am on day 4 of a voluntary pre-op diet after logging everything tonight I realized even though I am full I only had 500+ calories!
