Any February 2014 Sleevers?

Recommended Posts

I feel like just need to live off ProtiDiet to make up for the horrible carb/protein ratio I've gotten gotten the last 2 days. Hahaha. That's probably why my stomach is eating itself right now. Hah

I drank a bunch of Water. My stomach was like "bitch please. U ain't fooling me with that crap"

I drank a ProtiDiet. My stomach did the same thing and is telling me it's even hungrier. It's such a dick. Hahaha.

I'm getting sleeved in 3 more days. (If you count this as Saturday since it's the wee morning hours.) it sort of freaks me out. I didn't have a problem with them taking my gallbladder out but this seems so extreme. I feel sadness. And at the same time I'm thinking "fuck you fat stomach!"

Yeah. I'm weird

Hey everyone,

I have been gone for a while. I was sleeved on the 10th. I had my prayers, lip balm, and gas x ready. Lol. All I can remember was the recovery room. My blood pressure did spike a little. My surgeon said my liver was good and it was a nice sleeve.

I live in GA, and left the hospital the next morning. We were snowed in and all I had was broth and popsicles. Lol. Today, I feel great. My husband took me shopping because I can't eat anything. Walking helped soooooo much. I was miserable before. I was able to walk today, and I feel like a million bucks.

Let me be honest. Day 2 I cried alone due to regret. I finally shared it with my husband today. I asked myself, y couldn't I do this myself. I asked , what had I done to myself. I prayed for understanding. Today, my rainbow after the storm has come.

This post is very long, I felt it would be selfish to not share my truth. I have a wonderful support system, and my husband has been great. Oh. Fyi. I am 35 lbs down from my last weight in before pre opt. I wish you all luck.

Thank you for the update and for your honesty. I think it's so important to know people have the "what did I do to myself?" moment. I had that moment between sleeps in the hospital. I felt so sick and so non-functional. Even now, I'm only

going on to my third day and I am awake in the middle of the night with pain and low blood sugar. How could I not wonder what got me here? I personally feel that its a healthy question to ask both before and after surgery. How else can we learn and move on in our healthy new life?

I'm glad you are seeing the rainbow through the clouds. Having a good support system is really helpful. My husband is one of the good ones. I know he's had his "what is she doing?" moment. Again, it's just natural.

Please keep us updated on your success. Down 35 pounds in a month? That's incredible. Keep it up! You're doing great!

Yeah. I'm weird

You're not weird in the slightest! I looked at my stomach and talked to it the morning of surgery. I told her it wasn't anything personal. But only one of us could continue in my life journey and I was choosing me.

How's that for weird? Lol

SJ, our weather was 83 today. Honestly, it's flipping February. That's just wrong! Tomorrow we have a high of 75. So it will be slightly cooler. But this isn't a typical California winter. It's been insanely hot. I miss our "chilly" 60ish degree winters. Lol.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
