Homosexual Liberal Atheists ~ What's UP with that?

Recommended Posts

Well, I'm kinda sore, but not that bad. I guess they pump gas/air/whatever into your abdominal cavity to have manuvering room and I'm having cramps from that. It's actually worse than any incisional pain I've had (with the exception of just waking up in recovery). In fact, the four small incisions don't hurt at all. When they moved me from recovery to my room yesterday, I actually got off the stretcher and walked the hall a bit before getting into my bed! I never thought I would have been able to do that...

It was the gas pains that killed me, too. They say that walking helps to dissappate the gas. I spent my time in bed goofing on the lovely drugs instead of strolling around the house. This was not an altogether good thing.

I am pleased to hear that you have crossed the divide and are now banded. Welcome to the club! sez Green.

Please stay in Indiana.... Nebraska appears to be a more loving, understanding and certainly respectful state.

Out of curiosity, why revive a post that's well over a year old? Obviously it was quite a heated thread at the time, but I'm really not sure it does anyone good to bring it up again.

Ninja-

Chalk it up to inexperience...I thought it was a current posting and now realize quite old. Regardless, felt compelled to share my disgust.

It is also a matter of those doing the sin while claiming everyone else is sinning, they are the ones attempting to put their religious beliefs into law. I think basically people are pointing and giggling at those saying, "So, that thing you did, that is what you want to make against the law, right?"

Who could help but to laugh?

If the loud and obnoxious folks in religion/politics would just shut up and worry about their own behaviors, there would be little to laugh about. But when they try to make laws regarding their beliefs, it's a whole different story.

I know I am late on noticing this thread but I can't help but comment on this one. Growing up catholic, then baptist, then several years of foster homes where I got to experience several variations of other cristian religions, jehova wittness, then penticostal, discovering wiccan/paganism as I got out on my own in life. So many times I found/saw/experienced firsthand the hypocracy in each religion, in all but the Wiccan/pagan religions.

Maybe I was unlucky? Or maybe I was unhappy enough with aspects in each religion I was looking for faults. I dunno. But I sure found them. And at this point in my life one thing I am sure of. I am not against religion. But I am against organized religion that trys to tell people to live a certain a way but yet can't do it themselves. I'm a firm beliver that whatever religion a person choses is just that a personal choice. And noone has the right to try and force everyone to believe or live how one set group does.

Wasa I agree with you here. 100% Religion should be kept firmly out of the laws. And it is funny how the loudest most obnoxious seem to have most trouble living by their own so called beliefs.

I dunno...don't feel foolish. Just because it's a year old, doesn't mean it's less funny to know that a$$hats like that are out there - and they post.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
