Help. Bright red blood in diarrhea

I'm sorry. I know it's gross. I'm in Mexico and have horrible cramps and then a blood and a bit of waste passes. Help! I'm stuck in the jungle.

I truly don't know. I would suggest calling your doc.

Being down there has to be hard but get a hold of your surgeon RIGHT AWAY!!! That just doesn't sound good...sorry...

I agree with everyone definitely call your doctor!

Just a side note, early out I too thought I was passing blood but turned out just to be dis colored because I was consuming SO much Powerade (oh my gosh that sounds so gross I'm sorry!). Reason for telling is try not to freak yet!

Problem pinpointed. I had a dumping syndrome incident hours before the blood starting to pass. It seems I've injured a portion of intestine with undigested food. It's still going on 24 hours later. I have meds now. Wish me luck and thanks for the support.

Wow! Bloody stool from dumping? This I have never heard of. What did they give you for it?

I hope it gets better for you soon.

They gave me an intestinal antispasmodic, an immotiam type drug and probiotics. Clear liquids for 12 hours. What a way to drop another 2 lbs! Thanks to all!

I sure hope the rest of your journey goes much better!!!! I guess this is one reason I really hesitated going to MX. Seriously thought about it but now glad I have decided to stay "home" to do this... Good luck to you and so glad you are feeling better!!!
