Post op

Has anyone had a lot gas after drinking any type of protein shake i.e. muscle milk, GNC total lean, and isopure and no type of gas medication worked.

I just had my second protein shake since my surgery and it is literally making me sick. I'm trying to increase my calories and protein, but man it really sucks right now.

I just had my second protein shake since my surgery and it is literally making me sick. I'm trying to increase my calories and protein' date=' but man it really sucks right now.[/quote'] I haven't had protein shake at all, can't tolerate . I'm 3 weeks post op. Going to see my NUT tomorrow and see what she says. I did order the unflavored one , waiting to see if I like it.

I didn't manage any protein shakes post op at all. I was advised to take in what liquids I could and as soon as I was cleared for purée/soft foods I basically just ate protein sources. As a result I'm fine and have suffered no ill consequences such as hair loss. Don't stress the protein shakes.. I now cook lots with protein powder!! Trying to use up all my supplies!! Tastes sooooo much better too!!

I could never tolerate the protein shakes. Totally depend on eating protein high food.
