I have federal blue cross blue shield basic. Does anyone know how long it takes for a decision? Thanks

I have BCBS basic and was told the decision will usually come one month after I complete my 3 month supervised diet program.

They told me 3-4 weeks. Of course I was hoping for a shorter wait.

The entire pre-op was 5 and 1/2 months for me. Once submitted the sleeve approval was within 2 weeks.

I am 7 days post op. Originally I was told 3 weeks but it took 1 day to get my approval.

I have bcbsfl state employees group I was approved in one hour. I guess state and federal are kinda similar. My surgery is the 28, best of luck to you.

Did you have any incisions go thru your belly button? How has your recovery been?

I got approved today!! Took 1 day--I have bcbs federal. Surgery scheduled for November 18th!!
