getting sleeved on 11/4.. how did your hometown dr. react to you getting sleeved in Mexico?

I am getting sleeved on 11/4, and I have been reading a lot about people who have been suffering from vomiting amd diarreah since being sleeved.. sometimes for weeks or even months.

Anyone been experiencing this? If so, what do your hometown dr.s think of you being sleeved in Mexico?

i'm going under on 4th Nov too

my Dr here in Australia really wanted me to have the sleeve - but was much cooler on the idea of getting it in Mexico

he was , however, amazed by the price difference

yes - i see the posts about slow recoveries and adverse effects like this

but i just hope that being careful with my pre and post op diet will see me dealt an easier hand...

Go well, Jolly

I have had some mild diarrhea, but nothing really drastic or bothersome. I have attributed it to eating so much liquidy stuff and possibly to artificial sweeteners. I have not experienced any vomiting.

My doctor was supportive when I told her. She just said she wanted to get my blood pressure under control before I had surgery. So far, every medical professional I have spoken to since surgery has been supportive. When I mention that I had it done in Mexico, they ask questions, but nobody has been negative. I'm glad.

My Doctor has been great. I am so thankful for his help and support during this whole thing.

Mine was super negative about the surgery and Mexico.

I will be changing doctors but I'm going to wait Til post op so at least we can bypass the negativity about Mexico.

Ive decided ill tell my dr. After the fact!

My Dr was so supportive. He is pretty young so I thought he was going to be against it. He sent me for blood work the day after I got back into town and I go again for blood work at te end of Nov. Not at all what I expected. Good luck o you.
