  1. I am almost 4 months out, and have discovered I am not aging as well as I originally thought! I am going to be 33 in a few weeks, and i don't mind a couples crow's feet, not an issue. But JEEZ! Over the last couple weeks, I am getting very deep lines under my eyes and the crow's feet are MUCH more pronounced around my eyes. I mean the major hair loss I was prepared to deal with, and I am also currently experiencing. I only had about 60 pounds to lose, and I have lost around 40 thus far. Does anyone use any sort of eye and face cream that ACTUALLY works? I have been looking up reviews for some stuff, but I am always leary of putting out the money to try something new. Guess the juciness in my face really helped fill in those wrinkles HELP!
  2. I need to lose 50-60 pounds, and im winding for the people that were in the same boat, how fast did your weight come off?

How Many Incisions Did You Have?

i had 5 incisions; bellybutton (thanks goodness) a tiny one right between my breasts where my bra sits, one on the left and one on the right of my belly button. i am almost a month out and they are healing wonderfully! i will start rubbing bio oil on them as soon they completely heal shut to minimize the scarring (even though they are all very small). i will take a few scars to be svelte and sexy any day!!!
  7. ever since i started using the protein my face has been breaking out like a pre pubecent teenage girl! has anyone else experienced this and if so, how long did it take for it to go away?!

How Far Post Op Until Meat?

i was told 10-12 days for each phase.. i am about to go in to the soft foods stage a day early.. i could not bring myself to puree meat. that seems so disgusting! i stuck it out with mostly soups and shakes!
  10. Has anyone started going to Over eaters Anonymous since being sleeved? I know that the surgery is only a tool, and that I need to work on myself mentally as well. A part of thinks I don't really need it, but I have tried everything but OA to try and lose weight, and I am only almost 2 weeks out! I do not want to fail in this.. i can't imagine getting this surgery, spending all this money only to gain it all back and be miserable again . i am in the Sacramento, CA area if anyone needs a buddy or some support!

    Puree & Soft stage

I agree on the different taste PackerGrl! i just started the full liquids phase and that's not too exciting either. I can stand the same flavor for quite some time, but I'll be honest.. all this talk about pureeing regular foods makes me feel nauseous. When I get to soft foods, I will just stick to regular soft foods that are soft and smooth all on their own. I don't mind pureeing certain soups, but when it comes to things like meats and chicken, that is something I can't stomach! But you go to all the girls that are getting crafty with the meals!
  13. I used to eat this way before and I felt great and ill be going back add soon as I'm back to solids. I'm hoping my stomach will be able to tolerate that type of lifestyle!

  24. Winding down in my hotel room now with the wife, and I'll sum a couple things up real quick so I can go enjoy my wine, dessert, and wine. 1. We met the most awesome people who traveled with us in the van (a man and his mother, and sisters). The drive is a little over an hour and Ernesto, Dr. Aceve's driver is really sweet (he has a little bit of a speech impediment) and really engages us in conversation and has excellent interpersonal skills! 2. The hotel is clean, small, and cozy (as cozy as a hospital can be. We had all our work done, Dr. Campos came in and talked to us as a group, and he is so awesome and extremely informative. The lady who's name I can't remember at this time, took our payments, and we then went to the hotel. The whole process from start to finish at the hospital took 3 hours for everyone. 3. We checked in to the hotel and went to eat at one restaurant called Los Portales because none of the others were open due to it being Sunday. The food was just okay.. not worth the 35.00 for 2 of us. I felt really guilty saying anything negative because their customer service and attentiveness honestly made up for the lack of good food. They are very tentative and kind, so I just let it go. Although this big girl wanted a yummie last meal... that's okay. I've already had like 3 "last meals" in this last week! 4. The hotel room is pretty nice but smelled very strongly of smoke (which I hate because I have really bad asthma). We are on the 3rd floor so we left the sliding glass door open to air it out and it was fine. We went to one of the other patients' rooms (that was traveling with us) and their room smelled perfectly fine. The room itself is pretty nice! Overall I would say it's been a pretty good trip.. Mexicali isn't the nicest city in the world, but the hospital is awesome and so are the people. I would strongly suggest that if you haven't met up with anyone on this site that is getting surgery the same day you do, at lest contact your hospitals coordinator and ask them to give your email address to other people that will be traveling with you, because honestly the people that came with us are amazing and they have been a huge support to both my wife and myself. Looking forward but nervous for tomorrow! On to my wine, adavant, and antibiotic. Viva la Mexicali!
