Happy Halloween :)...more importantly to me, today is the day of my bariatric review board meeting. Everything gets submitted to insurance tomorrow. All preop appointments are scheduled. Fingers crossed and wish me luck!

Well, I was able to move up my Upper GI (he said I could have EGD or Upper GI) so I will have upper GI and ekg Monday, and then they can schedule it. His office said they have "several" days open in December. I just want "my" date open in December! Lol.

Had my Upper GI this morning. Officially I'm clean but the Dr said they debated for a while as to whether or not I have a hiatal hernia.

Meanwhile I'm telling everyone in my office that they found a HH which sets the stage for my cover up story.

I hope that I will be a December sleever. My pre op labs showed I have an h pylori infection. Who knew?? Never even heard of it. I was horrified when I read about it and how it spreads. I don't know how I got it or how long I've had it...just know I want it gone. Dr had me give a stool sample to be sure but I'll bet my last Twinkie that I'll have to go on antibiotics for two weeks to get rid of it. Everyone seems to get sick from the meds. Once I am clear from h pylori, I'm ready for surgery. Anyone else have this problem?

my insurance is so weird. the only things they require is a drug test including nicotine, the 6 month supervised weigh ins and type 2 diabetes. luckily I don't smoke and the hospital has me in their computer as controlled diabetes.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
