Girl' date=' do you! Just don't get out of hand - don't let him flip, twist or make you bend too awkwardly and you should be fine. Anything within reason.[/quote']

Lol...I won't...when I do finally find that special person. Thanks!!

Are you sure you need to be banded? If I could make any of those moves' date=' I'd leave the band alone ;)

In any event, it shouldn't affect your insides, and that's where the band is. The port is another story it's right below the skin surface, so just be careful when it comes to the location of where your port is and you should be fine.

Rock on girl![/quote']

Lmao...I'm sure. I'll definitely be careful. Thanks!

Sorry... I made my partner wait 3 weeks after surgery. By then' date=' we were both ready. I don't ever hang from the chandelier or anything like that but it was very active. No port pain to report!![/quote']

Lol....hang from chandelier....I know what you mean. No port pain works for me. I'll wait probably that long too, just to be safe.

And going into detail..I have done every move man made under the stars...port's still intact <WINK>

Your port is well sutured (unless your doc specified otherwise). So' date=' just like working out, sex and the fun positions it puts us in will not impact the port.

I have gotten pregnant on the band. Beware, it makes you fertile (but maybe it was position 2,345 that did it)

And girl, sex is the first forum post we all opened up..are you kidding me LMAO[/quote']

Ha ha ha ha ha....girl every move is up to my alley. Lol! My workouts will probably be the many positions I long for. I'm happy I've gotten everyone inputs. Thanks!!

If your definition of kinky sex is edge play there are some general ground rules for the band:

1. No impact play on the port area as it's tender and can get damaged/flipped

2. If bondage is involved stay away from the port area as well. Also- bondage after eating- watch with ropes on the band area.

3. Inversions -to each his own- but on a full stomach with a band- No

4. Needles- not near the port area.

5. It may help to circle your port area in marker both laying down and standing.

6. Tens- not in the area of the port or band

7. Cupping - again not in the port or band area

Fire is okay on the skin above the port as is wax and wand.

These are just a few dos and don'ts off the top of my head.

This post made me lol :) Not sure when you were banded but I would say go for it!! I have had no problems but maybe you should check with your surgeon? There is a whole thread for pregnant banders so yes you can still get pregnant with the lap band. it's a big reason some women chose this WLS vs other options because you can still have babies! :)

Lol...happy you were lol, because I was when I post the topic. Ok, I understand. I haven't been banded yet, not until Feb 2014, but I'm preparing myself for when I do. Thanks, for the info. :)

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
