Almost feels to good to be true

So I am 8 days post op and I feel amazing. I have dropped 12lbs so far and I feel 95% normal. I am following the post op diet strictly. My husband calls me the calorie nazi but I just want to be successful. I keep reading all these post about how terrible people feel on the post op diet and how hungry they are and it makes me think that my feeling so good is an indication of something wrong. I tend to over analyze and fret over things and this is one of those things. Am I the only person who feels this way? Is it really abnormal to feel so good so soon after surgery?

I am 9 days post op and feel great as well. I am starting to feel hungry though.

Cal-Nazi,

Not at all. I felt fine within a day but I was in a little shock over how much anesthesia they used on me.

Nothing's wrong with you! I didn't have any struggles with my pre op or post op diet. I followed them to the letter. I guess I was just lucky that I never really dealt with 'bandster hell', or feeling miserable due to hunger. Congrats to you, and your loss so far!

I felt great a week post op as well followed and still following the rules to the letter dropped 40 pounds so far , you will do great and congrats on the loss so far

Nope, I didnt feel hunger for the first 3.5 weeks and by than I was close to due for my first fill and was able to keep hungar away. Congrats calorie my fellow calorie nazi :) lol

It took me a week to recover from the surgery and I got filled after 4 weeks n then went 9 weeks for my second fill I'm do Monday for my next feel n I doubt I will need it I'm not hungry fir 4-5 hrs n the weight is falling off of me if course I also work out daily n watch my caloric intake av 1000-1100 day. Haven't experienced band hell greatest decision ever I'm am the happiest I ever been n each day gets better :)

I felt great the next day. I very minor pain and little discomfort. And I've never gone through the ravenous hunger that some people speak of.

County yourself as one of the lucky ones :)

I'm having one of those terribly hungry-losing-no-weight post op'ers - Soak it up and enjoy it, worry will only spoil something such as that :] I'm envious!

Congratulations, sometimes it is all in the attitude, too! Keep it up calorie natzi.

I am 10 days out and feel good and pretty good about everything. I've just been kinda confused about how much/when to eat on a liquid diet (til Monday).
