Sacrifice to Band God

I finally had to take scissors to some comfortable bottoms that I was still wearing around the house. They were just so comfortable. They were too worn out to give away.

I came home after a long 4 mile walk with my pet and sacrificed them. I knew if I didn't cut them I would dig them out of the trash. I have dug food out the the trash (embarrassed to admit) so I knew between the sacrafice and trash day my brain would know I still HAD them. It felt really good like I was letting go of the past me.

I was able to go to Sams and buy 2 pair of velour pants in size L for $10. Now I can be proud of all my clothes now.

Congratulations. The band-gods will reward you for such sacrifice -- with an even smaller body and a higher self esteem. I need to make a couple of sacrifices myself. Thanks for the encouraging post!

I'm sacrificing any panties that are not the perfect fit now. I'm still not sure what size I do wear.

Oh the problems of being skinny. Yes I said skinny. I decided the hell with small or slim. I'm skinny. tee hee

I made 4 garbage bags-full of sacrifices just the other day and keep findng more that need to go. Very painful indeed....but otherwise it wouldn't be called a sacrifice, I suppose! I hope the gods reward me with a gift card to Dillard's.

Yep, even tho they were falling off of me, I had to haul them to the shelter to keep from putting them back on. Now there are a lot of well-dressed battered wives out there somewhere!!

I am having a hard time letting some of my clothes go. :phanvan I feel comfortable in loose clothing and some of my summer clothes are made out of linen, my favorite summer fabric. The trouble is that I have to keep hitching up the bottoms. I can now pull them off without undoing them. I am thinking elastic, lots of elastic! Yep, I'm gonna sew elastic in the waistbands of all my pants and skirts just as soon as I get my act together.:biggrin1:

By the way, I don't have any trouble getting rid of the big cotton stuff, just the giant linens....:tired

Oh the troubles we have.....isn't it wonderful!!!! I think, for myself, that it's hard to get rid of the baggies because all my life things fit too tight. It's great to go to the closet and KNOW that the shirt/pants are going to work! Congratulations and hope the band gods get hungry again and you need to feed them more!

All ye hale to the band gods!!!!!!!! Goodbye mens size 42x30 Levis! I bought on clearence and they never fit me... now that I can get them on, they are hideous and make my butt long long.......... GOODBYE!
