Right after I send this I will stop what I'm doing and pray for you. And I feel honored that you would ask me to pray for you :) but before I'm done let me tell you some encouraging words! I would like to remind you that your daughter of Christ and he has your every move on his mind in his eyes and heart. He knows us better than we know ourselves and has nothing but your best interest at heart. His plan for you and your family is wonderful no matter how we struggle here or the fears that we deal with He is forever faithful and will never leave your side through it all!

Amen and amen!! So believe this as well, what an awesome God we have!!

And he will make sure that this weighloss journey we are taking be smooth :)

I feel good!! How about you? They have me doing every stage for two weeks each so next week I start the purée food! I'm excited just to chew lol. Do you feel your self getting hungry often? I'm getting hungry more often but all I really want to do is chug a water bottle down so bad.

Also what did you eat at the second stage? The doctor said anything that comes out of a blender basically.

Sorry it's taking me so long to respond I got a new phone . I was bad I didn't puree anything I just chewed it up a really super good. I did a lot of Peanut Butter and I would eat toast but I would chew it really good. Now I'm on week five and I just eat ... chew chew chew... I kinda had a hard time with refried Beans or any kind of beans. But now I'm good. I'm still testing different foods to make sure I can tolerate them. I hope this was helpful I feel like a terrible example. I was 156 lbs this morning!!! Wooohooo.... :)

Congratulations!!!!!!!! 156 would be a dream come true for me! Way to go ! Can I ask you what you started your weight with. Also thanks for the advice. I had my first egg this morning with spinach and cheese. Ate two bites chewed and chewed and that was it for me. So my left shoulder starts to hurt every time I eat. I called a specialist on it and they said its normal. It's my body sign your full. Strange right???

Going to have some yogurt for lunch and some Soup for dinner. These days I'm so busy and tired I don't have the time or energy

To eat and haven't had a Protein shake in so many days too. Once again a big congrats!!!!!!

My starting weight was 172. eggs are a good thing to start with ' date=' you get your Protein a little bit of fat and they're soft.[/quote']

How are you doing? Any more weight loss and are you eating more now?

I'm starting my regular food starting tomorrow. I didn't purée any thing in the purée stage. Just had a lot of Soup and soft stuff that I chewed to death lol. Don't know how my body will react to regular foods now or how often ill be able to eat.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
