I'm super hungry right now. Nothing taste right and I am so sick and tired of jello!! When did everyone get cleared for full liquids and puréed food? I'm one week post tomorrow.

LOL I never thought I would get sick of Jello....but yeah. I could live forever without it now!

I actually was moved to puree diet 3 days after surgery- every doc is so different! Good luck!!

We have a health store around the corner that makes fresh chucky Soups. I purchased 2 - one with Beans and another with chicken (both veg based) and completely liquidised them. Best thing ever. Exciting taste and still liquid enough a week post surgery.

I'm going to look around and see if there aren't any stores that will do that for me! I love pad Thai. And one day I went to my favorite place and they had this Soup that was sooo good but I can't remember the name. It's some Thai soup. Damn I want pad this now lol.

My inner two year old is having tantrums and turning me into a wreck. I'm only one week post op and thought I was really prepared for this emotionally' date=' boy was I naive! I just want to nibble something savory and the thought of Jello or popsicles make me want to punch someone. I dreamed about refried Beans last night and seeing my husband eat his Breakfast of eggs and biscuits and gravy sent me to the other room with chicken broth and tears in my eyes. Why did I have to let myself get into the position where surgery was the smartest option? I'm sorry, I just needed to vent my tantrum. Carry on.[/quote']

I feel the same exact way!!! I have been crying every day. I eat my two ounces and slowly but my stomach still growls. I'm soooo hungry!! I thought the pouch was supposed to be smaller and we were supposed to get full fast?? I want to eat everything. I haven't cheated but just sob instead. And I swear my sense of smell has increased since surgery because every time I smell food I wanna die!! And the damn food commercials are killing me too!! Ugh I want to be one of those people that has to force themselves to eat cuz they aren't hungry. Wondering if I made the right decision. :(

I am sooo feeling you. Today was my youngest daughters birthday and I wanted to eat the hotdog . I just want to taste something other than sweet and I'm only five days out. I thought I would be fine. I run to my room when the family cooking and eating. Sooo frustrating but I keep telling myself this will be for the better and sip on my shake and Water.

Really glad it's not just me. Thank you for the support. We will get through this!

I am so sorry to see that so many of you are struggling so much right now. The beginning of this journey is not an easy one. It's hard to adjust to our new tummies and diets, especially when the rest of the world is around us eating the most delicious smell foods and the food commercials haunt us. But it's really important to remember WHY we chose to make this decision, our health, to feel comfortable in the space of our own bodies and to live more fun active lives. I have got a wonderful support group of people who have been down this road before me and not a one of them regrets their decision. That's such a driving force for me getting through the rough spots. I hope that you all start to get better and over the hump soon.

My surgery was 10/24/13 and I moved to Phase 2 on Friday, but I seem to be having "issues" with dairy, I have never had any lactose intolerence issues before. Has anyone heard of this or is anyone experiencing this?

Anyone have ideas for not sweet Protein shakes??? I bought some strawberry smoothie powder and mix it with skim milk so that's 38g of Protein but it's too sweet!!! I can barely get it down!! I have tried adding Greek yogurt to it and cottage cheese but didn't help :(

You can try doubling the liquid, but if that doesn't do it you may just have to try another flavor. I suggest the unflavored and then you can mix it in something that you know you like the taste of.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
