I had my surgery on Oct. 1st. I got c-diff while in the hospital. Still afraid to leave home and be away from the potty. Other than that I've been really good. Almost done with the 2 week post op liquid diet. Can't wait to have a scrambled egg. So glad everyone is doing well. Lost 10 lbs the first week plus 20 lbs the 2 weeks pre op liquid. So relieved its working.

Finally home!!! Trying to get liquids in and counting the days down till my staples are out. Having cold sweats wonder how long that will last. No fever. I hope everyone else is doing ok.

Glad you are home. I have been having the hot flashes and cold sweats too for the past 3 days. Wasnt sure if it was menopause kicking in or my body saying "what in the heck did you do to me?" No fever either.

When will you get the staples out? My doc glued me -6 sites. Surprisingly they have held up. Hang in there.

I hear ya! I am 6 days out and I finally slept like a log in my bed last night but I think it was from being exhausted. My bottom also hurts like heck. Hurts to sit hurts to lie down. At least it makes me get up and walk around!

Hopefully this Thursday I must say I have more energy today than I have had since my surgery on Tuesday so things are moving in the right direction

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
