  2. I know what you mean - chicken is hard for me too and so is tuna fish. I can do flounder, sea bass, tilapia, but no tuna. I am almost 7 weeks post op and still have to do mush. I am not looking forward to this week having to discontinue the Protein shakes for a regular meal and get all of my protein from food. I don't think it is going to happen right away. Hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving....it's not all about the food.
  3. that was the sugar...it's why they tell us NO SUGAR....I have had dumping once myself because I ate to fast. Learned my lesson. That was the worst. I hope you continue to do well. I guess we all have to learn the hard way sometimes. Like I did with eating to fast. Sucks big time. Good luck.
  4. Yes My husband has said to me several times that my personality has changed a lot since the surgery (Oct. 1,2013). I wasn't sure why. Thanks for understanding.

  9. I had my surgery on Oct. 1st. I got c-diff while in the hospital. Still afraid to leave home and be away from the potty. Other than that I've been really good. Almost done with the 2 week post op liquid diet. Can't wait to have a scrambled egg. So glad everyone is doing well. Lost 10 lbs the first week plus 20 lbs the 2 weeks pre op liquid. So relieved its working.

  11. Wish I was on puréed foods...still have another day of liquid
  12. I know what you mean about eating the same thing over and over. I am 1week post op and on liquid still. Have one more week of liquid then go to pureed foods. Good luck.
  13. My surgery was October 1st and my husband won't let me near the kitchen...today was the first day he has eaten anything around me. I keep telling him it doesn't bother me cause I have NO appetite. The thought of food hurts my pouch lol. Starting to get a little energy back.
  14. I'm 57 and had my surgery oct. 1st 2013
  15. Is there anyone on here from Baltimore? I 5 days post op.
  16. I did stay with Dr. Kligman and am so glad that I did. As my surgery date got closer everyone was so helpful. The date of my surgery he came to the pre-op room and was very reassuring. I am now 5 days post op. feeling pretty good
  17. I am staying away from the scale. In the past I've been obsessed over the number and not focused on the health benefits of losing the weight. I am 5 days post surgery and still doing liquids. I lost 22 lbs. on the liquid pre-op diet. I'm ok with that for right now. Good luck in your journey.
  18. Hello I am so glad to see this post. I am 4days post op. on my second day I started with diarrhea that evening and they didn't say anything about C-Diff. Thursday evening the said they would be doing a culture to see what it was. I'm sure they knew before the culture but didn't start the antibiotic till late that night. I came home on Friday afternoon and still have bad diarrhea. I am afraid to leave my house. I'm just walking around inside and sleeping and drinking G-2.
