Has anyone else had trouble sleeping since surgery? I can rarely sleep through the night now, and also tend to have trouble getting to sleep as well. It's starting to make me really tired during the week. I have sleep apnea and have rarely had trouble sleeping since I started using a CPAP. Anyone else have sleep changes since surgery?

Hello everyone hope everyone is doing good :) here's my stats

HW: 332lbs SW August 6 2013: 302lbs CW: 256lbs

Feeling a lil discouraged tho because it's coming off so slow! Plus I compare myself to everyone else lol I know an older woman who had her surgery 2 weeks before me and she's dwn 110lbs since surgery I'm like OMG I wish I was down that much already lol but I know I'm not supposed to compare myself to anyone cause everyone is different.. But still can't help it... Were all human lol I'm still happy with my progress. Went from a very right 24/loose 26 to now an 18/20 and they're a little lose so I am happy for this . How's everyone doing?

Yes I have been having trouble staying asleep! I have no trouble falling asleep but I wake up about 2 hrs before my alarm goes off and I can't fall back to sleep. I have sleep apnea also but haven't used it much since surgery on 8/14.

Emotional break down status... Ahhh idk if it's because I talked to a friend who annoyed the shit out of me or if my sister gets on my nerves that much or what's got me in this mood but I am emotionally drained today... I feel like screaming and punching someone in the face at the same time I feel so down and dad that I feel like crying myself to sleep (and it's only 652pm here) ahhh idk if it's cause my period is right around the corner (unless prego cause the condom broke and I'm not on birth control) or what is going on... But all I know is I haven't been this emotional since I had my surgery other than the October 4 when I had my 10wk apt with my dr. And I started my period 2 days later..... Ahhhhhh is there anything I can do to not feel this way :( today feels like the world is on my shoulders and idk what to do!!!!!

I'm sorry you are having a tough time today. You are not alone. I feel that way every now and again and what makes it harder is not abusing food for comfort. I can share what I have done to help feel better: Hot tea or hot cocoa, hot bath, music, rock in rocking chair, jigsaw puzzle, karaoke. I hope this helps and try not to be hard on yourself, k. :)

Just curious if anyone else is experiencing a lot of Hair loss. I lost a lot of hair before surgery but OMG I'm losing by the handfuls and when I say handfuls I mean literally 2 -3 FULL handfuls in the shower and another 2-3 after when my hair is dry... -_- is there anything I can do to help with the hair loss?

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
