I am set to have my surgery October 7 . I have so excited to began this new journey of my life. I have always been a big girl but after the surgery I can Finley unzip my fat sute once and for all lol. I'm in Erie PA. Not at all nervous. I am a post op nurse so I'm in the surgical world all day. Just anxious for tomorrow to get done so I can get in there. Feels like I've been waiting forever!

I'm a terrible patient. I'm always up wandering and trying to go home early. I do listen to instructions but am never pleased to be confined.

Well then u should buy them all some chocolates lol!!! I've never been a patient!!! I have been very lucky. Never had a broken bone, stitches...ya so I think that's another reason I'm so nervous!! :/

Question I keep getting asked. . . ."Why are you doing bypass and not the sleeve?" I'd love to hear everyone else's answers. . .

Lynn73. Who's doing your surgery?? I live in Clarksville but I'm having it done in louisville.

I didn't go with the sleeve because it's too new and there's not enough data to back it up. Plus with the sleeve u can still eat basically whatever u want and I don't want that temptation. Not that I want the dumping but if it will keep me from eating bad stuff then so be it!! It's been around for a long time and my gut said to go that way and my surgeon confirmed it so that's what I'm stickin with. I should probably do more research but I'm overwhelmed as it is!!!!
