Todays my 1 year gastric bypass surgiversary

I survived my first year in this new life. It's been new, scary, exciting, and emotional as I go through all of these challenges. It hasn't been easy but oh man... Has it been worth it!!!

I started my journey at my highest 389lbs and the day of my surgery I was 359lbs today I weighed in at 230lbs... Doing the math I lost 129 in 1 year. But 159lbs total. I am so grateful for the support all my new opportunities.

Still truckin for my bday challenge/goal to weigh in at 200lbs.

I was there. I thought the changes were going to be worse than the rewards. I was a big soda drinker and never drank Water. I have done a year with no soda, well not entirely. I've taken a couple sips for the taste and I find I don't miss it.

Thank you very much:)

Thank you EVERYONE for the kinda responses. I feel great and just had my 1 year kaiser follow up and it went very well! And Thursday I have 1 year follow up with surgeon. I feel incredibly blessed and the only regret I have is waiting so long.

Sorry I've been off the boards lately.... Life's busy! Miss you all:)

If you could see my face! I'm blushing! Never in a million year would I think I'm an inspiration lol

It's been a year, let me tell you. Many times I wondered what did I do? But more often than not I was so happy!

Today was my 1 year with surgeon and it felt great! I sat in the waiting room with a lady who was at her first appt with him. She couldn't believe my pictures on my phone from my journey. She cried! Which got me crying.... Like wow! I've come a LONG way.

Thanks for all of the support and encouragement through it all.... And the kind words :')

Truly truly grateful

That's fantastic. You look wonderful. That's so encouraging for me, since I am just starting my journey.
