My Grandmother was a head cook for the Packers from 1942-72 I'm nothing but a Packer Fan, I have so many items from Vince, Bart Starr, etc etc from the 1st Super Bowl

Wow! I'd kill to see some of that stuff! Still the greatest team ever!

I have been having dizzy spells so I sent a message to my dr. He asked about my bp which I didn't even consider. I take three different bp pills a day. I checked my bp and it was super low (89/56). I stopped taking my meds on friday and my bp is still in control. This evening after work which is usually my most stressful time of day it was 107/78. Yay!! Im praying it stays in a healthy range. :)

Glad you called the dr! Great news about being off the meds!

Hi Junies!! Quick question... I usually eat eggs for Breakfast, but got an early Christmas gift from my honey (a Ninja blender set)!! Anywayyy, this morning I made a big ol' Protein Shake for breakfast, which tasted awesome and packed a nice Protein punch! The problem?? I was STARVING by about 10 Am. I never experience this with eggs. I can go all morning on one egg and some cheese. Anyone else experience this with just having a shake? Wondering if maybe I just need to bulk up the shake a bit with some greens and stuff...

I go through this periodically but not just a protein shake, but i try to drink some Water and go for a walk til lunch or supper, once I get back into fat burn, I'm not hungry no more.

Just when I think I have this whole eating thing under control, I hit the holidays. SIGHS... Dang sausage balls. Bane of my existance. At least I only take one at a time. Then walk all the way back from my office to get another one. Rinse repeat. I don't get this hungry at home when I have such goodies. I am making myself wait a legit amount of time before making the trek back to get another one. I'm trying......

Want to know my goals for the next two weeks?

1. Maintain my weight

2. Log my food.< /p>

3. Have anything I want as long as it is logged.

4. Enjoy myself and not stress if the scale doesn't move

5. Enjoy my family and friends and not worry about if I had an extra bite or something. It's life and we should enjoy all experiences.

6. Most importantly I plan to be easy on myself and not beat myself up or feel like a failure if my diet isnt perfect.

Setting this list has been so freeing for me.

Oh id add drink my Water and get my Protein. Not worry about calories.

I hope this helps. :)

Great! Enjoy yourself and live your life. Maintaining for a couple of weeks might give you a jump start when you start up again too. That's my hope. We've got this!

Happy holidays!! :)

I wholeheartedly agree with this, this is a lifetime commitment, stay with in bounds, make sure you get your protein in, but have that extra bite of something new,( means not a mouth full) and a taste of that, but at the same time if your not hungry why eat extra. I'm just one donut bite away from going into a binge and I don't want that, it happen once and the sleeve stopped it quick and I was miserable for like 35 min. But by all means don't feel guilty of having a meatball, just log your food like it was said above and keep track of what passes by those lips and take that long walk outside, the colder the more calories you burn. You burn more calories in the winter months than you do in the summer so take advantage of it.

I hit a milestone today! I am 167 that is officially 100 lbs down from my all time highest weight of 267. I am so proud of myself. It has taken five years, a lap band, removal of the lapband and conversion to rny but I got it! I want to lose another 40 by my rny surgaversary on 6/12/14.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
