This is such an amazing feeling. I am looking forward to actually living. I know it's not going to be easy but thankfully I have my husband and family in my corner rooting me on.

How long ago was your surgery?

You'll do great! The surgery really isn't very painful at all. Just get you some gas ex! Good luck!

Congrats & good luck! I had my surgery on Tuesday & it was better than I expected! Be sure to stay on top of your pain & take something for the gas. I'll be praying for you

Godzchild1982, what type of pain did u experience? & what can u take for it. Im alittle concerned about not being able to take tylenol or nsaids as i have bone on bone arthritis n my knee and lower back arthritis. Not that anything ive ever taken has worked, but ive been told that after rny surgery, cannot take nsaids, etc.

Just soreness & slight pain around the incisions...the major pain was the gas in my chest & back but gas-x knocked that out. I've found that if I walk more, the pain is a lot less. Dont worry, you'll be fine

My doc said that Tylenol was fine to take.
