I tried a few of them and couldn't freaking stand the stuff. None of it. Just put soups in a blender. I ate a lot of split pea soup from the blender. Yogurt. I lived on protein drinks. I bought a ton of stuff for after surgery. You don't eat enough for all that. I licked a lot of laughing cow cheese wedges off crackers and ate a ton of sugar free Popsicles.

I go on pureed food next Thursday. I bought some refried beans, hummus, canned chicken (they say it's more moist and easier to puree). I'll pick up some fresh fish to add to chowder and puree it. I'm still thinking what else to try...

Thanls for the feedback. never cosidered the soup in a blender optopn, that i could live off of.

a friend who is 2 years post-op told me low fat egg salad in the blender.

I couldn't abide the stuff. I just blended the hell out of everything....lots of egg and chicken salad.

Chicken salad blended with some broth is yummy! When I was banded I used that a lot during the puree stage. I even pureed chili. Im with the others soup is better tasting and more flexible than nasty baby food. My conversion to RNY is next week and I feel so much more prepared this round.

I think our surgeries are on the same day! The 12th right? :)

I did a lot of squished up chicken salad and ham salad or egg salad...tuna didn't work for me for several months post op due to the smell :P

See I had issues with egg salad with my band it always got stuck. Maybe I didn't chew as much as I would with chicken.

Baby food is high in sugar and carbs and fat because it's purpose is to fatten babies up. My surgeon highly suggests not going anywhere near it. It also has no Protein so it's pretty much useless for your post op diet
