I am 13 days out. SW 248! DS 228, CW. 217. My DR said I can start eating whatever I can tolerate. He said there's nothing I can eat that will damage sutures. This makes it easier to tolerate but harder to track exact protein.

My fitness pal is a great app to track food. I use it everyday to keep track of my protein ..it's taken me 10 months to get to 60 grams of protein...

I am 7 months out and down 90 lbs. 10 and/or 15 lbs to go. Would not change a thing. Am loving life.

Hi everyone, I haven't been on any forum about this in at least 1year or so.

I'm 2 years post sleeve op and have lost 27kg but put back on 5kg. I think this is the end of my journey and sadly still have to lose another 25kg to get to my goal weight. It's like an endless diet and not a lifestyle change. I don't know how much more I can possibly do to make me lose weight. I've tried everything and it's like my body resists it.

Has anyone been sleeved and experiencing the same issues? Sorry for sounding like a Debbie downer but I'm feeling I'm at the last resort now.

I had to choose "Other"...because my weight loss journey is complete...finished!

Had the surgery, and for the following years I learned (the hard way). to eat differently, and what I did eat I learned to choose the best I could.

There are some foods I gave up, going to the gym, drinking Water, Vitamins, etc, etc all became a new normal habit...

With this new lifestyle I lost all the excess weight I could, my body slowly reversing itself until I reached a point of "Equilibrium" which also has a Normal to low body fat %....

So, thanks to the Lap band, my hunger and cravings are held at check, along with my ability to over eat or "Binge"

I now take for granted day to day what and how I eat, not having to "Think" about it.

With this new lifestyle, my weight has returned to where it should be.

I am addicted to going to the gym, started "Running"...

"DIET" is nothing but a 4 letter word....it's all part of this "New Normal"

So, for me, I'm finished...every journey has to have a destination, and I reached mine...otherwise, my Journey would be wandering around in the wilderness forever....eventually it has to lead somewhere.

I am just begining. I have waited a year to qualify to even start the process because i had to be steadily employed 2 years to be qualify under my insurance. Today makes two years. Calling insurance to start my 6month process finally! I pray everything works out and i get approved.

I'm pre-op, currently following my nutrionalists diet then Dec 14 I see my nurse so she can book my date to see & sign with the surgeon!

  • 4 months later...

Still a work in progress

Pre-op, surgery date is April 20, I start my liquid diet in a week!!!!!

I'm a little more than 6 months post op. I hit my surgeon's "success goal" about 4 months after surgery. I am at a healthy BMI for the first time in 20 years. I am now going to lose 10 more so that I have some wiggle room in the healthy BMI range. The weight loss is very slow now, and I think my body is quite happy here (so am I!). I would also like to incorporate more regular exercise now. I exercise about 70 mins, twice a week. Trying to find a third day a week. Would like to take some yoga classes as well.
