Weird moving feeling in my stomach

Recommended Posts

I had terrible gas/constipation pains (horrible!) the day before yesterday up until midday yesterday. Although I had a BM and feel much better, today when I was out for a walk I felt as if something was moving inside my stomach like swaying almost. It wasn't painful but as I walked there was that uncomfortable swaying feeling. Anyone ever experienced that?

Oh, and I am almost 9 months and down 94lbs.

I has my surgery april 1 And i had no idea that i would be in this much pain. I don't think I prepared myself for the surgery pain involved. I hope it goes away quick. It feels like my insides are shaking around almost like when I was pregnant and the baby was moving! I do have to say that this surgery has been more painful than either one of my births. Down 11 pounds since surgery

Ooh yes! I had open surgery but giving birth naturally was a walk in the park compared to RNY postop pain. I would rather have 10 more babies than to ever feel that pain again.

Girl yes! I did not prepare for this pain at all! I have been in bed about 98% time because it hurts too much any other way!

I have not had surgery yet, but I also go on another site called Sassy Sleevers (for sleeve patients), and I do read where some people say their "pouch" feels like it is moving or breathing. seems to be a normal thing, not to worry unless accompanied by pain.

sigh. I'm the only one that hasn't lost weight from the april 1st crowd? I feel like a failure. I did also start my period...so maybe that's some of it. I am so very absolutely disappointed in myself.

Amanda, did the hospital give you a binder to wear??? It helps a Lot.

Rest if you fell you need to rest. Try to walk when you can. First few days home, I was only able to walk a bit of the hallway outside my apartment door. Only do what you can but, try to do a bit more each day. It really will help with the recoup.

They didn't give me one and at. The time I didn't think to ask but a couple of my friends who had the same surgery said that they were given abd binders and couldn't live without them.

I was the same way. All i could do was wake up to take pain meds. Didn't eat drink or do anything for weeks. The pain finally went away about a month and 4 bottles of pain meds later.

Thank you everyone for your well wishes! I totally forgot I wrote an update here... I'm one week post op today. I gained 15 lbs in water weight overnight because they had to give me tons of fluids to bring my BP up after surgery! I stayed one night in the hospital. Everything has been fine except I seem to have picked up a bug while I was there and I've been running a low grade fever, coughing, and a sore throat. So I've been hydrating well and sleeping a ton. So far the Covid tests are negative.
I haven't been able to advance my diet past purees. Everything I eat other than tofu makes me choke and feels like trying to swallow rocks. They warned me it would get worse before it gets better, so lets hope this is all normal. I have my follow up on Monday so we'll see. Living on shakes and soup again is not fun. I had enough of them the first time!! LOL

Still purging all of the larger clothing. This morning, a shirt that I ADORED wearing ended up on top. Hard to let it go, but it was also hard to let go of those habits that also no longer serve my highest good. Onward and upward!

Well, tomorrow I go in for an impromptu hiatal hernia repair after ending up in the ER over the weekend because I couldn't get food down and water was moving at a trickle... I've been having these symptoms on and off for a few weeks but Sunday was the worst by far and came with chest pain and trouble breathing. The ER PA thinks it is just esophagitis and that the surgeon and radiologist are wrong. But the bariatric surgeon swears it is a hernia, possibly a sliding one based on my symptoms. So he fit me into his schedule this week to repair it! I hope he's right and this sorts it out. He's going to do a scope afterwards to be sure there is nothing wrong with the esophagus. Here's hoping it all goes well!!
