So... Today is a month since surgery (4/8 - 5/8). I got on the scale this morning and was 240.3!!! That's 30.3lbs since surgery!! ... Unless you count the 10lbs of Water weight I left the hospital with' date=' then its 40.3lbs!! I wore a pair of pants yesterday that i haven't fit into since 2/2010. Some of my coworkers said they looked too big!! I'm having a rough time with water intake and sometimes i forget a Vitamin or two but man... This was the best decision I've ever made for myself! :D

I can never get all my water in sometimes I feel if I take one more drink im going to explode

Me too! And I'll try and trick myself with some broth and that doesn't work either. It Sucks lol. I know that it is affecting me as well because I do get lightheaded almost everyday... I've gotta get up slow or my head spins.

Well I'm 9 days out and 10 lbs down. Doing great with liquid intake not so great on the Vitamins. Just forgetting them is all. Ill get on track. I'm at an emergency appt wit my surgeon at the moment bc my major incision sprouted a leak last nite. ( I need to find the humor in it ) I didn't have a drain or anything after surgery so not sure what he will do now. Still waiting and leaking ;)

My survey date was 4/8 so I weighed this morning and am down 23lbs. I'm now 237. I am band to bypass and the lowest I got with the band was 214. I feel I won't be super happy till I'm below that...

Geez I hope so! I am always thirsty now because of the heat where I live. Could really use more water. Worried about getting dehydrated during the 120 weather that will happen pretty soon.

I do. I drink all day. No trouble getting in 64 oz. I also find that I take regular drinks, instead of sipping. Never causes any discomfort so I keep doing it. On my way to first follow up now. Gonna mention this and see if its a problem. Sometimes I worry that all this water will stretch my pouch.

Awww man, I think we have been at 106 already this year a few times. I want to move somewhere that isn't so friggin hot! I don't remember what winter is like, but I love my little moments at night when it is only 70 or so and nice and cool!

Winter time its normal to be -30 below, and the high 90's during the summer. Throw in the humidity and its blah. Id take dry heat any day.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
