Hope it all turns out okay with the surgery and tests. I didnt start exercising until 4 months out. Your body will lose the, weight at its own pace no matter what you do.

I've started therapy for postpartum depression and my eating habits and today i had a real eye opener cause the dr thinks i might have a restriction or possible leak so im undergoing the procedure to check and see' date='its outpatient.[/quote']

How did they come to that conclusion?

He said due to the stomach pain, not being able to swallow or keep things down,it sounds like a restriction but they'll know more when they go in. To be honest I really think I've chosen the wrong surgeon i didn't attend any classes.I had one psych appt, one nutritionist appt and within less than a month I was approv for surgery,I guess you get what you pay for and im paying now!!!

Do not see it that way.. I too did everything quick and also one visit for everything. It depends on ur body, and how you heal. I know everything is going to be ok for u. It happens..

Its more likely that your poych is swollen and angry due to eating outside of recommended guidelnes early on. Hopefully thats, all it is. If they thought you had a leak I would think they would do surgery right away. Thats deadly

I couldn't eat or drink and doctor said is was not a structure because I wast vomiting. He did scope for precaution and I had muscle spasms. I had to take some meds and it got better over time. My process for surgery was super quick and easy too. But the support groups are very helpful an it increases your success rate.

What are your symptoms of why they think I have a stricture or leak?

For me one day I can't get no fluids in, then the next day I do ok. I have a lot of pain on the lower and upper left side. I have a lot of tightness and pressure in my chest. I'm one week post op.

Good luck to you. I completely understand tyke emotions.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
