Who is your surgeon? I think we have the same one. Dr. Krahn? In San Bernardino?

Hi There! You are in the next County over from me. I was wondering if I ever found anyone close by to me. :) I am in Riverside County.

I have not tried these yet, but definitely will! My husband bought me no sugar added Italian ice. It comes in a box if 6, 3 lemon and 3 cherry. I prefer the lemon over the cherry, but they are both pretty good. They only have 1 gm of sugar in each. My surgery was Feb 25, so I am still on all Clear Liquids and Protein. Get so tired of the same things all the time! Can't wait to be able to have more food.< /p>

I just got some of those today. I like the lemon quite a bit but not too crazy about the cherry.

Yes! And for some reason if I eat it as Popsicle form I don't like the texture. It tastes sugar free. But melting/mushing it into a slushy is just delicious.

Agree on taste and will have to try mushing...it's like a whole new treat! Isn't it great when the little things in life make you so happy!?!

Was so mad that my supermarket didn't have any this week. Felt like throwing a tantrum in the middle of the aisle lol

Has anyone tried this brand? The nurse just gave me one and says it's part of the Bari 1 Diet. I told her that I thought RYN patients were to ONLY eat "sugar free" and to stay way from foods with labels that include "no sugar added", at least that was the topic of discussion during the pre-op class.

I called my sister, who's an RN and who had RYN 10 years ago, and shared the nutrition facts and she said I wouldn't dump because it only has 1g of natural sugar. This one is a banana flavored fruit pop and its really awesome.

What are your thoughts post-RNYer's?

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
